Extremely good atmosphere with good storytelling and plot-building. Forces the player to think and consider their actions. Although it is different from the dev's previous games Amnesia and Penumbra, many of the same elements are present and users should be familiar with the interface.

An amazing example of when a game's community goes above and beyond for the sake of modding. Completely original assets thrown together in a total overhaul of the original Half-Life, strong enough to stand on its own two feet as a full blown game.

Gameplay is on par with Half-Life's, but with the careful consideration of ammo scavenging and preservation put into the mix as well. Story is fairly solid as well, while also supplying smaller free expansion stories from the loyal community. My only gripe is the dialogue and voice acting, which feels somewhat awkward and has the potential to cut out all together.

A great horror game regardless that shows the power and influence that a game's community can have.

A refreshing and fun take on horror that doesn't have anything to do with zombies, aliens, or the illuminati. The story isn't completely solid, but still fairly enjoyable if you're paying attention to what happens around you. Right off the back, its fairly easy to say that this game features jumpscares, but manages to put them in spots you won't expect them. The atmosphere of Mount Massive Asylum is deep and colorful, so you won't just be trudging about in a single checker-tiled hallway while being chased.

Overall, this game isn't something to be marveled at or acclaimed, but it is certainly thought out creatively and has much imagination in the setting and story. The game even has replayability via different difficulties and bucket-loads of lore and articles to hunt down around the asylum.

This is one of those games that you grab your friends, a bowl of chips, and a compfy sofa to play on. I can admit that the weapons are unbalanced, the shields/grenades are unbalanced, and hell, even the classes are unbalanced, but the game, with friends, is hilariously fun.

Very creative take with the blend of RPG and FPS genres, all while managing to make grinding not difficult. Guns, of course, take the game's central focus, with a startling amount of combinations. That feeling when you find 50 bucks on the sidewalk? That's how you feel when you find rare loot in Borderlands.

A startlingly good MMO which has unfortunately been abandonded by the developers. The game gives you a great sense of teamwork and almost sci-fi squad-like action when participating in raids or high-leveled missions. Very fun to play with friends, and has insanely fun features such as the jetpacks and a wide variety of class-specific weapons and abilities. Unfortunately, the game starts to creep up on you when you're very high leveled, because your gear will take wear and tear so fast in contrast to the missions providing materials for repair, that you'll fall behind in combat. Most players and bosses will wreck you later on, so becoming premium for benefits is the way to go if you wanna jump into the game.

Mediocre console port, this game is broken. Wait for more patches to come out.

One of the better expansions I've played for a game, this almost matches its original (Half-Life) in terms of fun and playability. I reccomend getting this in a combo deal with Half-Life and Blue Shift. Even though we don't know 100% what happens to Shepard in the end, I have a feeling he may have an appearance in Half-Life 2 Episode 3.

This game scarred me the first time I played it. My favorite horror game, also has plenty of sci-fi and survival elements. Playthrough typically takes 20 hours, playing on anything below hard mode will ruin the experiance. After playing through this three times, I can admit to being a fanboi of the Dead Space series. Fully reccomended by me.
