Basic Breakdown: Cyberpunk 2077, developed and published by CD Project Red (well known for The Witcher) is an open world story game set in Night City. You play as a mercenary named V and go after the key for immortality and face many unique struggles along the way.

Graphics: The graphical design of this game is honestly phenomenal. I fell in love as soon as I was introduced to Night City, the neon lights, the life along the streets, the car designs, cybernetic implants, all of it was immaculately crafted.

The differences between each district and area was amazingly clean and obvious. I could always tell if I had gone too far out of a specific area and that honestly takes some skill to make it seamless and realistic enough to lose yourself within this megalopolis

Soundtrack: Honestly, I adored the soundtrack, it was very GTA meets Cyberpunk. If I were to be a little critical of it however, it could have been a tad more cyberpunk-y. Artists like Ghost Data and Rabbit Junk in my opinion would have made fantastic additions to the games list of idle music.

I also want to make a special mention to one of my favorite track from the ending credits of Cyberpunk 2077 called; Never fade away - P.T.Adamczyk, Olga Jankowska (SAMURAI Cover)

Another note I will make here is the sound designs are crisp and high quality. Guns and melee sound exactly as they should. There is heft where there should be and it never feels like your actions don't match the sounds they're emulating. Furthermore the voice acting is also peak.

Menu: I absolutely loved how the cut-scenes, load screens and menus all blended immaculately. Settings for anything you could think of and stylized in a way that never detracted from the game too much should you need to hit that sneaky pause button for any reason.

I'm going to put a quick little entry here as well since it's prior to game-play. The character customization was so good. A huge selection of styles and looks to choose from no matter what character you're looking to create.

I also saw this comment pup up a little in the LGBT+ community of whom played this game, that the customization being gender-less really made people feel seen and included with such a little thing. It adds further depth to how different each person is and mirrors that in game well with such.

Final Conclusion: The games story was honestly wonderful. I loved the quirky quests hidden and strewn across the map (Shout-out to the vending machine and Skippy) side quests.) The characters were memorable, relate-able and written insanely well, something of which CD Project Red has never had an issue with delivering.

I was able to lose myself in the story, world and atmosphere the game put out so easily. Other than the police assaults all over the map, everything played so smoothly and I was engaged every step of the way, so much so that CP2077 skyrocketed to one of my top 20 favorite games of all time. It genuinely deserves more love than it got initially.

Story wise, nothing disappointed. It was new, exciting and interesting with the exclusion of the ending. Choices you made did mildly effect the outcome of certain situations and paths you would then take to the ending of the game. Think Divinity Original Sin not The Walking Dead or Life is Strange level effects however.

My only critical complaints of the game that genuinely annoyed me was the map being extremely cluttered and overwhelming. The police assaults could have been completely removed from the game and it would have made a much better difference. Too many of them had me bored by the 10th one that I was grinding out to get the achievement for completing them all.

Complaint two, the ending. The extra ending cut-scene was not great what-so-ever and definitely felt rushed, but I'm not angry at the game developers or anything like that, I'm angry at the marketing department that pushed this to be rushed in the way that it was.

I also want to add a note, do not listen to the hate. So much of it was unwarranted. It wasn't ground breaking, but it was an extremely well put together game with immaculate design, incredible story telling and fantastically memorable characters.

Every single game in existence has bugs. I can only speak for my experience on PC and I am aware that it might vary from others, but having said that. I had a couple of hilarious glitches of cars dancing on the roads and I had one legitimate crash in 200+ hours of playing the game (and this was at release). I personally had more crashes playing Skyrim for 5 hours than I did CP2077.

Overall, I hugely recommend this game if you like story games.

Basic Breakdown: GTFO (Yes, get the ♥♥♥♥ out, this game will ruin you. Jk, it's great) is a 4-person cooperative, stealth based, tactical shooter with horror elements, developed and published by 10 Chambers

At game start, you pick your load out for you and your team (Or solo, if you're a madman), and you are sent down into an underground complex by a mysterious entity called “The Warden”, to explore your subterranean prison and complete objectives, or fetch quests for the said Warden.

Which from what we can gather, you're prisoners who are expendable, hence being sent down to the long abandoned complex that's now filled with these grotesque mutants that will eat your face off to do the Wardens bidding. GTFO has a HUGE emphasis on stealth, exploration and strategy, and if those aren't you're forte, you're not going to have a good time on this.

Graphics: I love how streamlined all the assets are. The game is beautifully designed, and how 10 Chambers manages their assets is honestly amazing and will never cease to impress me.

Each level, despite using the same assets in a lot of places to streamline how well the game runs, each level always feel unique enough to be completely separate to one another, whilst still being part of the same facility.

Soundtrack: Eerie, unsettling, and then battle music when you know you've f*cked up. It works, it doesn't need anything more, anything less. Every sound in the game is so well done, crisp sounding and in your face when it needs to be.

One sound I need to specifically highlight and give extra credit to is; Chargers. OHMYGOD, they sound horrific and I absolutely love it! Their movement sounds, breathing, it's so unsettling even when you've heard them a 100 times before. I love them so much.

I also feel like I need to add context; Creatures will essentially give you a warning with “flashing” (a glow on certain parts of their body whilst they're sleeping, as a warning that they are aware of you), and a “beating” sound, when they are now quite aware of you moving/making noises/flashing your torches at them. You get the 2 stage warning before they scream and wake themselves and everyone else around.

Menu: Extremely clean, great intro into the game and honestly sets the tone extremely well. A nice array of settings to fiddle with, and they give you every option you could want to add friends into your game. Copying lobby code, invite through steam and/or matchmaking which is still in it's early stages.

Final Conclusion: I finally owed writing a review for this game, considering it is in my 10 top favorite games of all time.

GTFO, does not care for your incompetence, if you cannot learn from your mistakes, learn how to deal with the enemies that are presented to you, maps, tactical placements of your gear, you will not win. I like to annoy people with calling this “The Dark Souls of Shooters”, and honestly whilst I started that as a meme, It's fairly true.

GTFO is difficult, and it takes pride in being that. It takes pride in the fact you will spend up to 4 hours on a run, to make one mistake and have to restart the whole thing, but somehow, it's never punishing enough that you don't want to play it, you see exactly where you went wrong, and how to correct it when you try again.. Not many games have that, and it's one of my favorite parts of this game that shines above most.

Further things I want to highlight; no perks, no cosmetics, no DLC's (they update the game with new rundowns and get rid of the old level packs as time goes by, so you have a constant variation of levels to play through), the whole game stands well enough on it's own and has solid gunplay, gameplay and even just that smidge of story hidden amongst the cracks to make it a well rounded, fun, engaging experience.

Nothing beats that “Expedition Survived” screen though, and once you've triumphed through it all, that screen is the best thing you will ever see.

Now with all that aside, this game definitely isn't for everyone, and it genuinely plays and feels better when you have a consistent team. You build new strats together, communication flows better, I can't imagine this being fun with randoms, but they have a tone of servers for players looking for people to join them, and now they have matchmaking through popular demand. I understand that having 3-4 people to play with isn't an easy thing to have.

Also something else to note; GTFO does NOT scale. It is the same difficulty all the way through (They have added even more content and challenge with extra higher difficulties and areas to explore and complete).
Enemies also are partly randomly generated, but levels will have specific caps and requirements (e.g 1 scout, 1 titan, 20 sleepers) so enemies will not be in the same place, unless it's one of the level specific mutants, even then it can still be in a different area.

Whilst I've seen this game get a lot of flack over not scaling to less players, it honestly would not work, and it would not be the game they have wonderfully crafted to this point. It needs that brutal, cooperative experience, that will probably start arguments with your friends.

This is a labor of love, you can tell. I can't praise the developers enough for making an early access game feel more polished and be one of the best co-op games I've played to date (Which by the way, there are (last I checked) 9 developers working on this game. 9!!!) GTFO honestly deserve so much more praise and love than it gets and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes tactical shooters that offer a challenge with friends!
