As I return to Walden Pond, it comes to my attention this area has become a state reservation. I witness visitors traveling to the area to engage in activities such as swimming and hiking. Walden Pond seems as if it is a tourist attraction and not an epitome of nature. This symbol has been desecrated and is the very opposite of what I lived for. Visiting Walden Pond has become the opposite of my morals. It is a luxury to be able to engage in the activities now available at Walden Pond. I remembered this location for its connection with nature. I could sit out for hours simply listening to the animals carrying out their daily life. The clarity of the pond reflected the purity of my soul.
