The look, feel, pacing, itemization, progression, etc all of it is great but character creation was a misfire. It was probably to cut queue times because you don't need to fill 4 different roles. The result? A gorgeous and thrilling, yet rather hollow experience. Nothing like hearing Victor's hysterical wailing while he gets bricked up by his devotion to Sigmar - ringing out above the gentle hum of rodents being converted into mulch. I could count the number of Ogryn voice lines on one hand.

With the regenerating shield, far more focus on ranged weapons, and bountiful healing, this game is (in my opinion) *much* easier than Vermintide in many ways therefor more accessible to new 'Tide' players. I've only played a few hundred hours now but I have very little trouble with high difficulties most of the time. Game looks great and runs like butter but I've got a word of caution to this tale. Many people say you will need a very powerful rig to play this and it's true so don't buy until you ask around about your hardware. You'll be able to fry an egg on the top of your case and blackout most of your neighborhood if you're doing things the right way. I would say the recommended system reqs are actually the more appropriate minimum. If you're playing 1080p @ 60hz you could probably get away with a 3060 but don't take my word for it. I could be wrong. I'm probably wrong. In fact, I'm almost certainly wrong. Why are you still reading this?

TLDR It's worth full price but goes on sale frequently. My advice? Buy it and play the ever-loving ♥♥♥♥ out of it. You'll get so sucked in that when you get up from your desk you'll forget what month you're in.
