Not terrible, it looks nice and runs well but every part of the game is just so shallow.

The dungeon runs are all the same, no synergy between your power ups. No meaningful differences between weapons. No builds to try or modifiers to keep things fresh.

The base building is bare bones. Use your followers to get resources, spend those to get new buildings, but there's only a small handful that have any function and the skill tree boils down to: "make this building marginally better!"

The followers are indistinguishable beyond appearance. They each have a couple traits but there's maybe a dozen total. You'll quickly realize it literally does not matter what traits they have. It will not affect the game play at all.

Just go play Isaac instead.
