Great game, get the complete edition on sale though the DLC is average but still worth playing.

A very respectable successor in the L4D series.
Some of the great elements remain as a solid base for the gameplay; the "stage" like levels, the inconveniently timed hordes and of course the special infected who's sole purpose is to catch you with your pants down.

Weapons are now much more diverse and feel like a solid shooter, the rarity/mod system often leaves you with mismatched weapon/mod combos though. Not a big deal but being able to hotswap them without a penalty would be the QoL improvement we all need.

Enemy types are pretty standard for zombie shooters, reminiscent of the L4D Zs but definitely built upon. The varieties of each that force you to change strategy depending on the level modifiers.

Cards - For those who wear a foam helmet they are hard to understand. They serve as modifiers, that's it. They get a lot of flak for being complicated, build a deck (a loadout) based on what weapons you use, simple as that. The melee build is straight up broken, with enough cards you become immortal. You earn cards throughout the game by doing various things.
Level cards are not earned but depend on the difficulty to determine the things you encounter - armoured enemies etc. keeping each playthrough varied.

DLC is OK, feels like an extension of the game but nothing awe inspiring. The "Skull Totem" currency is both grindy to obtain AND not worth it unless you yearn for skins.

"Have many bugs" was meant as a design note and not one for the coding team. Much like the planets you play on the game is plagued by bugs.

Here are some I've faced today:
- No rewards, very frustrating on the higher difficulties after 30+ minutes of highly intense action
- Mission objectives not triggering leaving you stuck at the extraction point next to the plane
- Mission collectables not registering when turning in
- The rest of your squad dropping out of the game for no reason
- Being kicked from games during loading
- Not being able to connect to other games
- Controls and camera locked after selecting stratagems
- Graphical ones where enemy parts are stretched to huge proportions (tbh quite amusing) or you're just a floating head
- One of my favourites, the classic infinite loading screen

There are a many others but these will occur daily.

The game play is incredible and fun with friends but do yourself a favour and wait a few months for the bugs to get quashed.

Great game but get it on sale, full price is a bit much for what it is. I've got all achievements, so played twice through and got all collectables and side mission stuff etc. in 17 hours at a fairly slow pace.

The combat is fantastic, you get fewer gadgets etc. than in the last one which seems like a bummer at first but the skill trees are more streamline and the flow of combat is much more exciting.

Story line is great, nothing too exciting but definitely not boring, a few twists here and there but overall very little filler nonsense. This and the re-mastered Spiderman rather annoyingly have hours of unskippable cut-scenes & dialogue which gets tedious if you're achievement hunting on the second playthrough.
The final boss fight feels a bit strange through, the pacing of it is strange & Marvel's modern audience updates definitely seeped in here.

CS:GO Review
Don't bother unless you know a private server, the official ones are plagued by hackers

8 years and still a buggy mess, typical Ubisoft Known issues still present 6+ months after an update, random freezing for 5-10 seconds for no apparent reason, often gets you killed.Matchmaking is a travesty, teams are often hilariously unbalanced. I've been on teams that tore through 3 rounds and i didn't even see anyone, other times you're on the receiving end. The sync on the servers is by far the worst issue, peek advantage is beyond unreasonable. Good players can peek and kill you before you can even see them, the difference from your perspective and the kill cam are very often completely different. This matched up with weird perspective/model placement makes for some ridiculous kills. For instance you can't see the enemy's head behind a box, from their perspective they're above it and can see you no problem. That being said the game play isn't too bad, the animations for some things like transitioning from a grapple feel slower than they need to be but everything else feels great. The maps do leave beginners open to alot of frustrating play, being killed as you run out of the spawn for instance is a real annoyance, especially as there are many maps it's difficult to get your bearings when you've not seen one before or only played a handful of times. The array of gadgets is a little silly, the whole premise of the game is realism yet some of the gadgets are daft e.g. a swarm of drone bees that highlight enemy positions? what?. One of them can make your phone ring to give away your position, why you'd bring your phone to a spec ops mission I don't know.Riot shields are also a thing, normally it would be a logical addition to a game like this, it even makes sense and can be challenging but damn it's an idiotic thing to include when half the loadouts don't have grenades or any way to counter them, even if they do you're screwed because one of the riot shields has tazers on the front.

Great fun but considering it's all about traversal and verticality I wish they'd tone down the fall damage.
Almost makes Witcher 3's fall damage seem sensible.

TL;DR - Buy on sale, average game.

Not sure why this has so many really good reviews, it's an average game. If you played other farcry games it's exactly the same.
The world is fairly big but there isn't much to do. This fits in with the setting of a small county in the mountains but is a boring place to be. While the outposts are more unique than previous games, the usual capture mechanic is the same boring iteration. Spoiled a little by the AI sometimes being able to spot you for arbitrary reasons when you're doing a stealth run, not that there's much point mind the rewards are basically worthless skins/outfits or the odd weaponised vehicle that you can shoot all the nothing your surrounded by.
Helicopters are a massive improvement they are fun to fly and kill the odd patrol but seem to have been added late into the development as you can skip massive chunks of some missions just by hopping in a chopper, gunning down enemies in seconds or fly right past/up mountains without fighting anyone and kill the leader/objective. The chopper also runs out of ammo which you can magically refill midair for $1K. Hands down the most immersion breaking way they could have done this.

The storyline is pretty interesting to be fair but the ending is utter nonsense. It feels like they hadn't thought it through when developing it and tacked on a scenario that vaguely resembled the plot's intentions. Some missions are incredibly poorly written and scripted, when you progress to certain points you become "Blessed" or "hunted" which sends a group of enemies to track you down. Excellent you might think, great mechanic to add an extra level of complexity, I can battler these elite enemies to prove I mean business!... NOPE, either the group of enemies that is tracking you down hits you with ONE bullet.... one! and you become tranquilised for some arbitrary reason and a mission ensues or as I found out, flying a helicopter at top speed over mountains someone shoots you in the leg with an arrow that does the same. Makes very little sense that the cult is happy to kill innocent civilians left right and centre but the guy who is destroying their operation and massacring their followers is kidnapped instead of killed on sight I think 3 times total, each with the same outcome.

The money system is bizarre, restocking ammo costs $500, once i'd completed the game and I only bought a few vehicles (~$7K each) I only had around $20K. The game even suggests you play the arcade mode to grind for cash.
Fishing and hunting are weirdly emphasised but from what I can tell there isn't much point, you get skins etc. you can trade in for cash but it's not worth the time it takes.

Another copy/Paste from Ubisoft with a few improvements from the previous, I was pleasantly suprised they didn't add millions of towers to climb like they seem to do in most ubi games & there weren't any really boring fetch quests.

This isn't an awful game but it certainly isn't worth the £75 pricetag for the gold edition. The DLCs are meh, interesting maybe but you spend most of the time in them learning new mechanics of the mode and then a brief period of playing makes them feel like extended tutorial levels with a few gimmicks.

Climbed on a cyclops to stab him in the eye with a lightning enchanted dagger, got thrown off a cliff.
Probly the best experience I've ever had.
