The principles of engineering by which I abide:

1: If I don't, someone else will.
2: I cannot trust someone else to do it right..
3: If nobody else will, then I must.

4: My standards must be nothing short of perfection.
5: The road to perfection is traveled in tiny steps.

6: Anyone can be an engineer.
7: There is always room in the world for more engineers.
8: There is always a place for any kind of engineer.

9: I must act upon the world. I must not be acted upon.
11: That which does not act, stagnates.
12: Stagnation is death.
