Disclaimer: This review is coming from a filthy casul, I've completed all 3 games multiple times each but I'm no pro by any means.

I know I'm in the minority when I say the 2nd game is my favourite still, but I will admit it has made some improvements gameplay-wise. The animations are snappier, the combat is quicker in general, and I also prefer the FP mechanic over flat number of spells you can cast per rest. It just feels better than 1 and 2 in that respect.

The only negative I would give it is the way it came back to all the old plots and characters, where the 2nd had the balls to expand on the story. Not saying I don't like the lore in 3 (I love it actually), but it also feels like the sh*t new Star Wars movies pulled. "REMEMBER THE BLACK KNIGHTS? REMEBER LONDOR? REMEMBER BLACKSMITH ANDRE?" Kinda felt like I was playing DS1 DLC at times.

That said, I've completed it a couple of times, got two different endings, and I liked the conclusion of the story so it definitely didn't ruin the game for me at all.
