What a fun puzzle platformer in which you play as this fragile egg. Find ways to navigate through the world without breaking and maybe pick up some feathers along the way. It has no missable achievements.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: It took me 6 hours, but if you're good at platformers it might be under 4 hours.
Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
Is there a good guide available: You don't really need a guide, but this YouTuber has a nice playthrough if you're stuck somewhere. And I made 2 videos for specific achievements
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: No
Grinding Achievements: No
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty option
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No

Fowl Damage has some aspects that looked scary to me from the outside: Puzzle (+ Precision) platforming, instant death, and no difficulty options. Gladly it also has no speedrun achievements and you can die however many times and still unlock everything. The worst that happens upon death is that you respawn at the start of that screen. Most of the time the screens are short so that you won't lose much progress and the respawn is almost instantly. This helps so much with just keep going until you get to the next screen, even when it gets challenging.

I'm impressed with how much fun this game is. It looks simple but it will give you a challenge while still doable and being an egg makes sense for not being very durable. They did a great job with balancing the difficulty which makes Fowl Damage a nice entry for those who aren't into puzzle platformers/precision platformers. And I love that they added a face to the egg, just to give it more personality. (+ an encounter late in the game also added some extra personality)

None of the achievements are missable in Fowl Damage and most of them are for beating the game. There is a warp option if you want to go back to an earlier part or get stuck in an area. You also don't have to find all the feathers. You have to find all the pink feathers in one area (which I did in the first area, which seems the easiest), get 50 pink feathers in total, and find 5 green feathers. There is an achievement for finishing 5 screens while crouching and one for going fast. Check out my Youtube videos if you're struggling with those.

I give Fowl Damage 4 out of 5 stars.

I'm blown away by how awesome this game is! There is so much humor and so many clever puzzles with time manipulation. This was such a joy to play! It has many missable achievements + a speedrun achievement.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: ~16h+
Estimated achievement difficulty: 5/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: at least 2 (normal playthrough + speedrun)
Is there a good guide available: Not yet. I couldn't find all the secrets but I hope someone will make a nice achievement guide.
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: Yes, many achievements are missable. I recommend backing up your save file. Especially when you reach that point the game warns you if you're sure that you want to continue.
Grinding Achievements: No
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: Yes, there is an achievement for finishing the game with under 30 rewinds. This sounds like such a challenge and you have to do things quickly.
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty setting
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No

I was a bit scared at the start of this game. I know it was a game full of humor, but humor can be so subjective. It is a hit-and-miss with humor. For me, this was an absolute hit! Add to that just an awesome game with clever puzzles and a time manipulation factor and you get this master hit!

The Holy Gosh Darn reminds me so much of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. There you had 3 in-game days to change things and get further into the game, here you have 6 in-game hours... why did you sleep till 12 on exactly this day... why oh why...

You play as Cassiel, who is an archangel in heaven, but it is quite boring in heaven. God has been away for a while and the only souls entering heaven are dogs because they are holy enough to enter heaven. But then.. out of the blue something goes wrong and heaven is destroyed! Gladly Samual has a trick on his sleeve, he has a time-traveling watch that allows you to change how things play out that day. Will you be able to stop this catastrophe from happening and save heaven?

When I started playing The Holy Gosh Darn I couldn't stop. It was so addictive and just doing this quickly or that quickly kept me playing for hours, and I love that! There was always something to do, something new to discover. So many hidden secrets and I know there are so many because I found a bunch of them but there are hints and achievements for many more of them. This game does such a good job of giving you the feeling you're always progressing.

Unlocking all the achievements will be a challenge. so many secrets to be found but there is a point in the story that will make some of them missable. the game will warn you and I highly recommend making a backup save file before progressing to have a way to go back. I hope someone will manage to make an achievement guide, but with an achievement to learn everything.. that might be tricky. The Holy Gosh Darn has new game+ which will help with the speedrun achievement to finish the game within 30 rewinds. However, I still think that this might be really challenging.

Did I already mention that I love this game and was hooked from the start? I give The Holy Gosh Darn 4,5 out of 5 stars.

I'll be Brave, Tomorrow is a short game about a boy who is sick and has to stay in the hospital for a while. You'll be playing a bunch of mini-games while hearing his story. It takes around 2,5h to complete.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: 2,5 hours
Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10 for most of the achievements.. and one of the achievements it is very high... it is a skill-based timed achievement and I'm wondering if it is even possible.
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
Is there a good guide available: Not yet, but for the most part you don't need a guide
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: Unsure as I'm missing the hidden cassette tape, if it is hidden in a mini-game or something it is not missable. If it is in a room in the game, then it might be missable as you can't return to those.
Grinding Achievements: No
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty option
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No

I'll be Brave, Tomorrow can be a triggering game, as it is about a young child who gets cancer and has to stay in the hospital for a while. This game starts with a trigger warning, but I would like to add that the story has a good ending, so if you wouldn't play it because of the possible ending... I can take that fear away. If you still think the game hits too close to home because it is about a child stuck in the hospital, please check out a different game. Your mental and physical health are the most important things in life!

Another important part I would love to highlight is that 50% of revenue goes to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. So buying this game also helps out this charity while it gives you a small look into their work.

In I'll be Brave, Tomorrow you will mostly be in your hospital room and play mini-games there. The game does an awesome job of highlighting which items are optional to do and which will progress the story. The red-outlined object will progress the story, so if you want to go for all the achievements, do that one last. The main mini-game is a platformer in which you play a cute bird. There are other mini-games like a racing game and one where the floor is lava.

What I love about this game is that it reminds me of my childhood. I haven't been in a hospital in my childhood, but the toys you see and the SNES and GameBoy in the game, it all oozes nostalgic. The mini-games also trigger a nostalgic feeling.

I don't want to dunk too much on this game as I love what they do for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity and I believe it is based on a real-life experience of the developer. It is amazing that they used their own experience to shed a light on such an important topic. However, I felt like the game is missing something, and I can't put my finger on what it is missing. The game is short, but with such emotional storytelling games that is a good thing. Maybe some polish, but I understand the artwork is a choice and that it also helps with triggering that nostalgic video is you were a 90's kid. So I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I'm missing something to get more hooked. That doesn't take away that I did enjoy the story and had a blast playing through the game.

To complete the game it comes down to just play every mini-game for the most part. there are achievements for completing the platformer game, as well as for the racing game. If you missed those.. they can also be played afterward through the main menu.

There is an achievement for finding a hidden cassette tape, I'm unsure if this is missable as I haven't found it. And there is an achievement for scoring over 15 points in the Throwing game... this one I'm sure I'll never unlock myself.. my high score is 7 and that was with a bunch of luck already.. as I normally scored between 3 and 5. So I have no clue how to score over 15 in this skill-based but timed mini-game.

I give I'll be Brave, Tomorrow 3,5 out of 5 stars.

Hadley's Run: A Starship Saga is an awesome roguelite with an amazing art style and intriguing story. It takes around 12 hours to complete the game and none of the achievements is missable.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: Around 12 hours
Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10, the most challenging will be doing a complete run without losing health.. gladly you have a shield, so you can be hit just be careful your shield doesn't break
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: it is a roguelite.. so multiple runs
Is there a good guide available: You don't need a guide, just talk with everybody in each hub
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: No
Grinding Achievements: Yes, being able to buy all the upgrades can be a grind. However, the developers recently have increased the amount of trash a boss rewards
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No, you can play on easy and still unlock all the achievements
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No

In Hadley's Run: A Starship Saga you play as Hadley who was just doing a normal boring job while he gets the request to transport a thing from A to B... and while he does that job something goes horribly wrong and Hdley ends up in a different universe/system and seems to be able to revive when dying in this universe. How do you get back home, while in the meantime also saving the world?

What an awesome roguelite in which you farm currency for upgrades while also playing through an intriguing story. I had so much fun playing this game! I love the art style, the story, and how you unlock new weapons and abilities by defeating bosses. The different weapons make feel runs feel different and on top of that also the upgrades you'll receive during a run can make things feel quite different.

I want to give credit to the devs as they were so incredibly responsive and quit the moment I encountered a bug. The patch for it was live very shortly afterward. Bugs can happen in any game and is part of game dev, what matters is how developers pick up those bugs and if they get fixed. I can say that the things I noticed or had questions about all got picked up. I also got the nice suggestion to change my name to Missi the Bug Huntress, which I highly appreciate and I love the humor ^^.

None of the achievements are missable. There are ones for the story, so talk with every person in every hub. There are also a bunch of achievements for using the different weapons and abilities. The hardest achievement might be to complete a run without losing health. Gladly you have a shield, so you can get hit as long as it doesn't go past your shield. I was very scared of this achievement but I had no problems getting it after you know the enemies and the bosses. There is also an achievement for getting all the upgrades. This is only for the upgrade menu and not for making portals. I don't recommend making those cost currency, while using them also costs currency and it makes it so you will skip a part of your run, so earning less currency that run as well. Also, an important thing to keep in mind, when you die you will lose the currency you earned at that level. So if you grind in a specific level, don't die and think you take the currency with you, progress toward the next area, or exit to the menu. This achievement is quite grindy but I think that it helps a lot that they increased the rewards from the bosses.

I give Hadley's Run: A Starship Saga 4 out of 5 stars.

Copycat is an emotional rollercoaster while playing as this cute cat who gets adopted and moves into a new home. The game has an achievement for completing it in one sitting and a bunch of other missable achievements. ~3h to complete the game.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: ~3 hours
Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
Is there a good guide available: Yes, Tasselfoot wrote this guide
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: Yes, since there is no chapter selection. Gladly the save file is very clean and easy to change to get back to an earlier save point
Grinding Achievements: No
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: Yes, as there is an achievement to complete the game in one sitting
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty option
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No

Before jumping into Copycat I knew it would be an emotional ride, I'm not sure if I was prepared for how emotional it would get! You play as a get who gets adopted by an old lady and you will have to adjust to your new life. The developers did so well with telling such an emotional story and that from the point of view of a cat. It is just so impressive and well done.

While playing copycat I got a renewed sense of guilt toward my cats. I can't imagine how stressful getting to a new home with a new owner is, but thinking back about moving houses a year ago.. that must have been so stressful as well. I was so happy that I could cuddle my cats while playing this game.

So, in this game, you play as Dawn. A cat who just got adopted. (You could even choose your colors and a little later you get to customize your collar.) At first, it is all about getting to know your new owner, and their house, while also doing a little mischief. However, very soon things will get serious and your life will get turned upside down. I will not go deeper into the story in my review as I think the game is best when playing blind (or with the achievement guide linked above, which doesn't contain many spoilers).

Copycat is a short game around 2,5/3 hours. It has a bunch of missable achievements. For example to meow to birds, play with the balls you can find, meow at every neighbor's door and others like that. The most important achievement to keep in mind is the one for completing the whole game in one sitting. All the others are possible to still unlock by going back to a specific checkpoint in the game.

Gladly the save file is very clean and clear. So by changing the part about game finished to false and then changing the number for both checkpoints to the right one will help you get back to an earlier section. You might have to hop around a bunch to find which checkpoint number you need. (the ones I konw: 21 = pool section, 30 = stealing food)

I highly recommend Copycat for every cat lover, but be ready for an emotional rollercoaster! I give Copycat 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Toy Tactics is an awesome RTS with the unique ability to draw lines for your formation. It has no missable achievements but it will be challenging to unlock them all.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: My guess is around 30 hours or more, it highly depends on your skill level and if you go for the side objectives in your first run of each campaign level.
Estimated achievement difficulty: 6/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1

In Toy Tactics you control an army and have an objective to accomplish. There are many different modes like the campaign mode for different factions, but also skirmish mode, puzzle mode, and mercenaries mode. While playing the campaign you'll unlock different fractions and their campaign.

What I love about Toy Tactics is that it will help you learn the basics of an RTS game. It starts off quite easy but the difficulty will ramp up quite quickly. What makes Toy Tactics unique is the mechanic to draw lines for each type of unique to decide the formation of your army. However, this also comes with the downside that it isn't quite as easy to make groups of different types of units and send those to a specific point. You can do this by having overlap on their lines, but this doesn't seem to always work and I'm unsure why it sometimes works and other times it doesn't.

I played the campaign the most and had an awesome time. In each campaign level, you have 1 main objective, 2 side objectives, and a chest to find. Keep in mind that when you finish the main objective the level instantly ends, so if you still need to do something for a side objective, do that first. On the level selection map, you can easily see how many of those objectives you have completed on each level. I just loved the extra objectives. They added an extra layer on top of just having to complete the main objective. sometimes the side objectives is using a spell on X amount of units, or don't use a spell and sometimes it is to do something specific in a level.
With the points from those objectives, you can buy more types of spells for the faction you're playing with.

None of the achievements for toy Tactics are missable. They are mostly for completing each campaign and all the other modes. There are also achievements for completing all the side objectives and finding the chests. My guess will be that completion takes around or over 30 hours, but this depends on how good you're in this type of game.

I give Toy Tactics 4 out of 5 stars.

WARNING WARNING, This Base Building Roguelite is very addictive! It has no missable achievements and completion takes around 35 hours or more. It is still in early access so more content will be added later on.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: Around 35 hours
Estimated achievement difficulty: 7/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
Is there a good guide available: Not yet
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: No
Grinding Achievements: Yes, for now, getting to level 50 is grindy but it will be less grindy when more content there will be added during the game during Early Access
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: Yes, there is an achievement to finish a run in 10 days. This isn't too hard on an easy level
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: Hard question, not really but you'll have to complete higher difficulties to get enough currency for upgrades
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No

The warning above is a bit of a joke but also so true. This review is a bit late because every time I think about Drill Core, I just want to play it! They made this base building/roguelite/colony sim so addictive!

You manage a drilling mission in which your objective is to trill X amount of meters into the ground. While drilling you find curreny to increase your guns that will fight off enemies at night, but are also needed to improve your skills to dig deeper. You kind of want to drill as fast as possible to the next level, but you have to find the right currency to drill deeper and you still can use the other currencies as well. So it is a bit of a balancing act of getting strong enough to still fight off the enemies during the night while also upgrading everyone to work faster.

On your drill platform, you can build different types of buildings. The more buildings for units you have, the more people you can higher, but the more buildings for upgrades you have the higher you can upgrade your builders. You can build on top of other buildings, so space isn't that limited. However, the higher the building is the more it costs to build it.

There are 3 types of currencies that will be rewarded at the end of missions and can be found during the mission. Those are needed to buy permanent upgrades. The first two types (Yellow and Green) are quite easy to get, but getting purple is a bit of a struggle. My level is so much higher than the upgrades I can buy. It feels like too much of a struggle to get the purples.. on the other hand, I keep playing so it isn't that demotivating to not get enough of the purple currency.

Another thing you'll unlock is the ability to find different buildings during a run. there are objectives to complete on specific difficulties and when you complete those, that type of building can show up during your runs. I found this very addictive and kinda wish there were more challenges for each difficulty, but having so many more buildings to the pool of random buildings wouldn't be nice. I would love to see more challenges but then for the permanent upgrade currencies.

A lot of the achievements you'll unlock by just playing the game, hiring people, leveling up your platform. Some achievements are grindy at the moment, like the level 50 platform, but with more content it will be less of a struggle. Also the achievement for reaching day 150 underground is grindy at this moment, especially since you can't save during a run atm. which means you have to keep playing or pause the game while you're not at your pc for this one. I hope and expect that there will be a save option during missions added later on. This challenge will also be easier the more upgrades you have unlocked.

I will say the game feels already so feature complete but each run can kinda feel the same. looking forward to seeing some different stuff added and more biomes to explore. And maybe even a menu to hide some buildings from your pool of available buildings during a run, like Vampire Survivor has that option.

I give Drill Core 5 out of 5 stars.

CATO: Buttered Cat is an awesome but challenging puzzle platformer. Finding the solutions to all the puzzles is the challenging part. It has no missable achievements.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: This is hard to say as it is a puzzle game. A friend completed it in around 8 hours, but I think I would need 20 hours without a guide.
Estimated achievement difficulty: 5/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
Is there a good guide available: There are guides on Steam for all the secrets. However, I'm missing a guide with all the solutions. I hope someone will make one.

What a unique idea to combine a slice of bread with a cat and to have different skill sets for each of them, and for when they are combined. When I learned about this game I was so happy to hear it has no speedrunning achievements or anything like that but that it is a puzzle platformer. What I didn't know yet is how I underestimated how challenging the puzzles would get and that I would already start struggling in chapter 2 out of 5. I would like to add to that that puzzle games are a hit or miss for me when it comes to understanding and solving them. Give me a sudoku or picross game and I'll do very well, but for some other puzzles, I would just not be able to see the solution or work it out in any way. So that I'm struggling doesn't say anything bad about the game, it is even positive. As it comes up with clever solutions to the puzzles!

What I love about CATO: Buttered Cat is how much love for detail there went into the game. There are many skills available to unlock. (With codes you can find online as well as finding secrets in some levels). And it is also great how the game will tell you if you missed a secret. you can see this on the level selection map. But not only the skins, but also the details in the levels and how creative the solutions are.

For the achievements you just need to play through the game and find all the hidden secrets. None of them are missable and for the most part, you can see where you're missing secrets.

I give CATO: Buttered Cat 4 out of 5 stars.

Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines is an awesome challenging platformer that has 1 missable achievement. It has accessibility features to make the game easier, like an infinite amount of jumps and no damage from monsters/bosses.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: 11h+
Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10 with accibility options, 9/10 without accesibility options
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
Is there a good guide available: You don't need a guide
Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: Yes, defeating the end boss without buying any health upgrade is missable
Grinding Achievements: No
DLC-Only achievements: No
Speedrun achievements: Yes, you have to get the gold medal in the time trials for every level and challenge
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No, you can play with the accessibility options on and still unlock all the achievements
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No

In Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines you play as one of 2 dogs and will move around in the levels by jumping and slinging around with your grappling hook. You don’t have to have played the first game to enjoy the second one. There are just a few throwbacks to the first game. However, it has quite a lot of improvements over the first game. Using your grappling hook is a bit easier and there is a second character with a different skill set. The level determines if you will play as Grappling Dog or Luna.

I loved the variation in the different levels and weird challenges. Also, there was a big variation in the aesthetics of the levels. The game also comes with a bunch of QoL features, the most noticeable one for me is the option to jump into a level from the level menu section in which you can also see what you're still missing in each level and then instantly jump to that level. no worries about getting to that different area of the game and finding the right level. Shopping also happens from a menu and not having to physically move toward a shop.

Next to normal platformer levels, there are also short challenges. You open up those levels by using fruits you collect through the levels. You can also use this currency to buy more health (warning this locks you out of an achievement), different color clothes, or a different-looking grappling hook.

Speaking about the achievements. There are achievements for completing all the levels. Find all the gems and find a hidden band in each normal platformer level. There are also achievements for buying all the cosmetics. There is 1 achievement for beating the end boss without any health upgrade. There is an accessibility option to not lose health, which makes this achievement so much easier but without it, this seems really challenging.

Another achievement requires you to get the gold medal on each level. This is also really challenging if you don’t use the accessibility options. However, another accessibility option there is is infinite jumping. This makes these challenges so much more doable but can still be a challenge. I think you need this ability in most levels to find the band, as it seems in 95% of the cases very high somewhere in the level, but in a few levels, it is very low in the level.

And last but not least there is an achievement for having the game on progress at 100%. This includes all bands, gold medals, gems but also all the different cosmetics. If you don’t have enough fruit to buy it all when you finish the rest: I recommend the monkey level in the second world. Above the first checkpoint, there are 18 fruits. After collecting those you can restart from that checkpoint and they are there again. To earn those fruits you will have to complete the level, so don't leave the level after farming those but just complete it.

I give Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines 4 out of 5 stars.

A wonderful adventure game without fighting but still so much fun and interesting. One of the best games of 2024! The game will take around 12 hours to complete and will warn you if you are approaching a point where you can miss out on stuff.

I'm so impressed with Caravan Sandwitch. I wasn't sure what to expect before starting this gem but loved the esthetics. I played through the entire game as quickly as possible as I just couldn't stop playing! I instantly fell in love with this game and just wanted to keep playing every free hour I had.

The story starts right off the bat, the intro will tell you you got a distress signal from your sister's spaceship... but she went missing 6 years ago and you all mourned and moved on at some point. However, you can't let this go... you travel back to your old hometown to search for where the missing signal is coming from. You'll meet up with the people that still live there and help them out as well along the way. While learning more and more about the past you didn't know back then because you were only 12 when she went missing.

What I love about Caravan Sandwitch is the music (I added the music from the main menu to my Spotify list) but even more the exploration. There are so many little details to explore. You'll find components (the things you collect in this game) everywhere, so it is always worth it to just explore every nook and cranny and be rewarded for it. Every place in the game tells you a story about what is going on or what happened there in the past. It is just amazing how much of the story is told in such a natural way. Just by the environment or by what is brought up by the characters, but it never felt like it was forced into a conversation. Did I already mention that I love this game?

I was surprised to see the details your truck has. If someone is riding with you, you'll literally see them in your car. And if you receive a trinket from a sidequest, you'll also see that appear on your car. It is also great how smooth the movement with your character as well as with your car feels. And having the option to teleport back to your car and/or teleport back to the main town are such welcome Quality of Life features every game should have!

Another thing that impressed me is how responsive the dev team is. They are so active on social media and on Discord, but also when I brought up through private chat a small bug I found they instantly replied and updated the game. Having tiny bugs in your game can happen, what is important is the response, and if it gets fixed. For both questions, the answer is definitely YES, they listen and they fix. They ask follow-up questions if it isn't clear. That was just wonderful to see.

It takes around 12 hours to unlock all the achievements. Pick up every component (and those very cute stuffed animals) you see and use every springboard you see, to get those achievements out of the way. Some achievements might be missable but if you read the warning about continuing with the storyline and which sidequests will become unavailable you won't miss anything. All the other quests will be for the main quests, side quests, and exploring everything on the map.

I really love Caravan Sandwitch so much and I hope so many others will too. In my book, this game is a gem and I hope it will not end up being a hidden gem.

I give Caravan Sandwitch 4,5 out of 5 stars.
