I'm gonna keep a negative review until rare puts actual real time and effort into cleaning up the rampant bugs this game always seems to have, and when they stop consistently screwing over competitive players.

Newest rare bs is "fixing" the pak file exploit that allowed us to ACTUALLY get supplies for hourglass AND the merchant exploit. The exploits weren't hurting anyone, they still required you to use your gold so it wasn't free. And they removed it without addressed the issue of hourglass supplies. Hourglass somehow always gets messed up in every update and this most recent one is completely invisible ships lmao

I went into this expecting something in between the quality of Re2 remake and Re3 remake (which is to say something in between half assed and full assed), but I was in for a pleasant surprise and by the end I can say that this is one of the greatest video games I've ever played in my life. I'm kinda sad my first time experience is over and I'll never get that magic again but EVERYONE should play this game. It is a MASTERPIECE

I listened to the soundtrack for so long and then finally gave the game itself a shot. Absolutely recommend. The difficulty jumps are a little too much imo but just keep your eyes on the bullets and not your ship, that's the key to bullet hells.

I cannot recommend this game unfortunately. It crashes ALL the time and you have to jump through so many hoops just to maybe get it to work. I've un installed and re installed so many times and I just cannot get the game to work anymore. The game NEEDS to be fixed for windows 10. If you want to try and fix the game yourself be my guest. But I simply cannot get the game to boot without crashing anymore.

Wonderful fighting game from a long time ago

(i7 6700k, GTX1070, 16GB RAM, 1080p 60Hz monitor, Win7 SP1) XD this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ show. Here's my story: I buy it, download it, optimize the settings and start the campaign. Game looks amazing, stable 60FPS, im immersed in the Dday setting...until. I come to this barn area and the WHOLE part of the level just isn't loaded in. I restart the game a few times...nothing. Tweek my graphics settings...nothing. So I restart the level, get to the barn area again and the level is loaded in. Great right? Nope, here's where the main problem begins. I have a pretty beastly PC so it is NOT my hardware. The frame rate starts tanking HARD! From 50 to 30! Next level, same thing. So I re install the game. Frame rate is stable 60 while a bunch of stuff is going on so I figure I'm in the clear. NOPE! I come back to the game after A DAY and the frame rate desides it wants to be a bastard again. At the begining of the second level where you're just walking around the camp with the tanks the frame rate never remained stable. And when you hop on the tank and the sargent guy starts messing with your friend, like 30FPS....XD. And here's the STUPID part. When I turn Vsync off I get anywhere from 80-200 FPS. But with Vsync on it's just a ♥♥♥♥ show! That doesn't make ANY SENSE?!!!! I would just uncap my FPS but I get some nasty screen tearing with it off. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! If you absolutely wanna get it, either have a TOP TIER PC (Titan XP, Titan V, or gtx 1080ti) or get it on console. This game is broken and you should show activison that their BS won't be tolorated. I would EASILY refund the game but I've already put in 3 hours just trying to fix the damn thing.

Update: Got the framerate stable. Lot of design issues I'll go over when I finish.

FanTASTIC game. Totaly worth at 10 bucks. The second act is HANDS DOWN the best part of the game and the whole second act is a 10/10. It's crazy stressful and really makes you master the squad mechanics. The downsides are that sometimes your squad will just go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and stand in front of enemy fire so make sure to never let them be on "search and destroy" because they will go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Use your other commands like defend that area and move out, but make sure to have form up as the command most the time. And the worst part about the game is the ending. It just ends and the twist that happens isn't earned at ALL. If they had made the second act the last one then I could totaly see the twist being acceptable there but it's not and the ending suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. SOLID 8/10 deff reccomend it's a fun time since all the squad members are unique.
