Gigabash is a fun, kaiju-sized brawler kinda similar to the likes of Power Stone. You have a light roster of about 10 kaiju to choose from (14 with the Godzilla DLC added) and a healthy smattering of arenas to smash up while you engage in chaotic kaiju combat. The basic gameplay is largely simple but each character has a distinct playstyle and there's room for mastering combos and things like that.

As far as modes are concerned, there is a story mode, an arcade mode with the most recent update along with a survival mode. And there's also a mode known as mayhem which you can apply all kinds of special rules and win conditions to. Personally, my favorite is the story mode, because of the variety of different goals and the great art...but regrettably, there's only stories for 4 out of 10 characters. I honestly hope more are added in the future! I kind of wish that one was added for Godzilla with the DLC, at least. There's also online play, which I didn't test myself.

Overall, it's a fun smash-'em-up brawler and its rather modest price tag means that you won't feel too burned even when you burn through the story content really fast.

It's Okami; you play as a goddess in the guise of a wolf, exploring a world rendered in a beautiful artstyle and fighting demons. Just get it, it's amazing!

If you want a fun, crazy, arcadey smash-em-up with incredibly satisfying building destruction, look no further. Terror of Hemasaurus is a monster mash in the flavor of games like Rampage, but the carnage is dialed up to 11 and the sensation of knocking over cities is greatly enhanced by the physics at play; buildings can be knocked into each other for destructive chain reactions and through the pretty hilarious and wacky scenarios that the story mode puts you in, that is only the tip of the iceberg! Kicking cars into buildings for quick collapses is a personal fave.

If the climate crisis-inspired story, which is very fun and wacky, isn't to your taste, the game also packs an extra arcadey endless mode with lots of options to tick, but they require unlocking through play. I can't speak enough about how much dang fun this game is, whether you're eating hapless civilians, kicking cars into helicopters or collapsing buildings with butt slams.

Pick this one up if you want an excellent destructive romp and don't mind a little (lot) of blood and carnage!

Simply put, if you enjoyed the older Paper Mario games like I did and you disagree with the direction that Nintendo has taken the series, play this. Right now.

On it's own merits, Bug Fables has fun and charming characters, varied exploration with the characters' unique abilities, an excellent soundtrack, rewarding gameplay and a pretty good story too. The team really made something special that takes classic Paper Mario gameplay and elevates it into something that can truly stand on its own. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I think you will too! Give it a try!
