EXTREMELY POOR PROGRESSION SYSTEM.

this game is as follows:

Grind/Pay or die.

Not fun.

90% of the game consists of waiting (real) days for projects to complete unless you pay for it to be done quicker.

This game is predatory in it monetisation model and is not worth you active time.

This is a nice little game to discover :) , whilst everything seems to work rather well over all i have a few critiques:

1. It's a very fast paced, making the learning curve steeper than I feel it needs to be

2. New power-ups do not come with a explanation

3. AI speed compensation is poorly implemented.

4. Which ever Dev thought drift levels were a good idea can go and eat dirt.

Other than that quite a lot of splitscreen fun when bought during a steam sale :)

TLDR:

- Combat is Relentless (do not buy if you're not good at FPS games).

- You can't become OP at everything, like in DOOM 2016, you have to specialise (again don't buy if bad at FPS games)

- Platforming is interesting, but overall detracts from the experience because it gets tedious, and is often very annoying to contend with (especially when trying to pickup collectables and power-ups)

OVERALL:
- Not a bad game, but is certainly not a casual game for all like DOOM 2016 was.

- Can't really see myself trying any of the campaigns on harder difficulties due to the immense difficulty curve, and the multiplayer is a cluster-f*ck from my perspective, which means this game has less content than I would have liked (so i'd advise buying it on sale to get your moneys worth)

The paradox Devs have seriously F'd up with this last update.
The new pop growth mechanics are utter trash, and have been implemented as a lazy attempt to improve game performance, probably so they can ship it to console.

Not happy. Not pleased. Not Impressed.

May abandon the game entirely if this isn't walked back on.

Currently I don't recommend this game. But please understand it is not a bad game! However it is changing too often (sometimes drastically) and is still lacking a large amount of features that could make this game a TRULY! FANTASTIC game.

It doesn't really fit the genre of "grand strategy" as their is very little depth to this games mechanics making far less than grand in the micro management area which is further ruined by the attempts of the devs to cater to "lazier" players that want everything automating.

I am by no means against automation. But I'd like this automation to require initial time and skill investment to be achieved, thereby adding another "mini" goal that players can pursue whilst playing this game.

War and combat are currently very linear and sparse with the features currently in the game, you'll need to mod this for it to be any fun for longer periods of time.

Finally the end game is inconsistent with the so call "end game bosses" being highly inconsistent, sometimes you rofl stomp them and other times they rofl stomp you.

I'd like to see more "mini goals" for plays to attain (and please don't make them special projects devs) and the infrastructure you build to matter more.

Good Idea. But it is NOT a finished game. Not even close. Features are extremely basic and lack any sort of meaningful way to flesh out your invested time, leaving very little to do ingame. The UI is minimal, ABSOLUTELY MINIMAL. So there is no control over the game, it's just a fly & shoot game.

You know a game is not well polished when you can earn money more quickly and easily with a freighter than bounty hunting. Not skill required at all.

This is a typical instance where a game has been designed for release on both console and PC and as a result lacks mosts of the features that would be possible on the PC platform due to the limitations imposed by console controls.

DO. NOT. BUY. THIS. GAME. UNTIL. THE. DEVS. HAVE. FINISHED. IT.

Buy Starpoint Gemini 2, at least it's a finished and slightly better polished game.

Would have recommended this game until july 2016 meat your match update. looks like valves has met it's match... the morons managing this once great game, we asked for comptetative NOT matchmaking, and the fact you replaced valve pubs with the, load of sh*t, casual matchmaking system just proves my point.

I seriously encorage valve to shake up the tf2 dev team and fire the g*d damned son of a b*tch that thought replacing official valve pubs with casual matchmaking was a good idea, bring back official pubs or i'm done for good with this once fantastic game (now a steaming pile of SH*T).

GET YOUR HEAD SORTED VALVE.

DO NOT LISTEN TO PRO COMPETATIVE PLAYERS,
THEY KNOW JACK SH*T ABOUT WHAT'S GOOD FOR US ALL.
