It's a stationary wave shooter- no doubt, but it gets customization and enemy variances right and keeps you wanting to play more to get your next upgrade. I get slightly anxious (not in a bad way) when presented with the room choices between levels. Sort of like being presented two different options for your doom.

Early Access Review
This has probably been said before, but it's true. This is a better (more competitive & mature) creature collection game. While the game doesn't really over take GameFreak's narrative polish, it certainly makes the competitive elements more clear. The game is in early access but the developers have so far responded very quickly. The truth is the $35 price line is actually still very service-able for the experience I've so far played. My last note is the game is more difficult than your ordinary pokemon game.

I've built a few experiments of my own and hope that other people get to play them!

I really enjoyed CSD1, and I still enjoy CSD2. They both offer different positives. I personally like multiplayer in CSD2 much more. Now both players can handle orders independently which is awesome. The new holding station feature is a fun new mechanic! The new restaurant customization is fun to do as well! One place it does fall short is the usability and interface. While its inconvenient and not intuitive, eventually you'll be able to navigate as you would normally.

If I could make one suggestion to the game, it would be to make the restaurant challenges make more money. As of now, my own restaurant on a poor menu makes significantly more money than the restaurant challenges. Some of those restaurant challenges are difficult, and it would feel really great to get a reward proportional to the effort!

All in all, very fun experience and I enjoy playing this with my SO!

If you want to learn Katakana in a gaming environment, then here it is. It has pretty sub gameplay, story, and music but for the purpose of learning Katakana, it gives you a story to keep grinding for - and you have to learn to progress. I'd pay this each time to learn katakana in 10 hours anyday.

I downloaded this game for the sole purpose of waiting 2 hours to finish download fallout 76. I was not expecting to be so impressed at how charming this game is. It offers a very unique combat and puzzle system. The art is very pure with it's handrawn style and fits charmingly with the music. There are very fun puzzle mechanics and customization mechanics to refresh even the most veteran puzzle players. Did I mention the game is charming? The story is pretty standard but the characters are still likeable. I definitely plan on playing this game more! I love it!

To be honest, I'm a little embarassed for playing this game as much as I did. It's a pretty simple tycoon management game, and I knew exactly how it tried to reward me to keep me drawn in, but it made me feel so accomplished while playing that I kept playing anyways. You wouldn't play this game for the story or its character. To be honest they're very superficial, but at least they're quirky. The soundtrack doesn't vary much at all, so despite it being catchy at first, I eventually muted it. However, the bread and butter of this game lies within its character skill and customization mechanic. I was always looking for the next skill or item to make my units better, so they may tackle the higher difficult dungeons. I bought this while it was on sale, but the $7 dollar price tag is definitely suitable for the game's simplicity. Whoever if you ask me I'd pay more for my 30 hours of gameplay. If you want to spend time managing your own weapon shop, look no further and play this charming little game!
