It's good. Fun hero class shooter, interesting gunplay, beautiful maps, and unique multidimensional characters.

Solid game. Quite fun, and constant developer attention is impressive, especially considering the size of the studio when the game entered the fray. Fair amount of salt from some folks, but that is the standard in any online game.

So, I've tooled around in Armello. I've tooled around for about 163 hours in Armello. And subsequently it is time to declare that this is a bad game. It's a shame, I want to like it. I really do. It can be rather entertaining, if you have three friends and some house rules set up. But, in its current state it is fundamentally broken on 3 fronts: namely the software, the mechanics, and the player base. Software is a mess. This is a game built in 2012 that has known bugs from that year still plaguing the game. My personal favorite is the fact that if someone ragequits under the right situation, their turn becomes infinite. Glitches are spattered throughout cheerily, sort of like bobbing for apples with a handful of razorblades dropped in. It's usually fine, but when it isn't, that was a forty minute game you invested in, that got ruined. Mechanics are objectively worse. The game can't make up its mind what sort of game it wants to be. Combat is a dice rolling system, based on chase, but it is ultimately inneficient compared to the joys of using magic and trickery to kill or cripple people from across the map. Steal gold, steal the items needed for combat, steal win conditions, then do twelve damage in a turn from a distant corner. Combat is done best by magic. Travel is done best by magic. And with characters who can specialize in having giant messes of cards to play each turn, the poor bastards who turns are stepping three steps and getting vaporized for existing feel a bit silly. Shout out goes to Sargon, a hero who not only has great base stats for the magic strat, but gets to see the top card of the decks before drawing, draining the last dreg of chaos from what is ostensibly a game of chance. Best of all, the Prestige victory requires the game to drag on for the full rounds usually, which means a solid hour of watching sargon send mercenaries and death tries to slit your ankles as you try to hobble across the map. Finally, the player base. I'd like to say that it is rare that you end up in a lobby with two friends who ignore each other to make everyone elses lives hell. Haha. Funny, it isn't! You can even deselect finding groups! not enough people play! And if you do get a lobby with everyone playing for themselves, well odds are you still get a sargon/cauldron witch or maybe just a rage glitcher. Either way, forty minutes of life gone. Buy Root. Pass on Armello.

There are a lot of beautiful aspects to this game.
Exact stats, a more open focus than the last and a variety of positive messages, even betwixt the chaos.
Really, it's a overwhelmingly positive game, with good gender and sexuality representation.
Removing the more random elements from drink selection allows for easier completion.
You should try this one. It's worth it.
