Early Access Review
Very Fun Castle Builder with just my kind of Humor. big enough tech tree to not get bored and random-generated maps. 3 types of enemy armies and the full release is anounced for september, grab it, while its still on discount.
the only thing that would make this game perfect would be a co-op mode

its a fun game, great for teamplay with tons of mechanics to use for effective teamplay and to grind together. i bought it 1 month after release, only minor bugs so far and had my first disconnect after 10 hours of play

Very Good Game, the basic Campaign alone brought me about 35-50 hours of Fun (depending on the difficulty). The Balance and mechanics have been changed many times since Release in '18, by now, its really well balanced, but still a bit easy in the lategame. The add-ons provide additional Lategame Content, Maps, Mechs, Weapons but are wayyyy to expensive on the regular price. (So grab 'em in the Sale ;-) ).

After you*re done with all of that (or before, your decision^^): THERES MODS- tons of em- the most used would definitely be the Community Asset Bundle - or CAB which includes Tons of new Mechs in every Class, new Weapons, (Sounds, i believe- not sure thou^^) etc..
CAB is also the Base Requirement for game-mechanics Changing Mods, which include even their own Lore, Timeline and Events- the three biggest would be:

BattleTech Extended BEX, which covers the timespan from 3025-3057,
BattleTech Advanced BTA, from 3062 an on. And
RogueTech RT
All available on Nexusmods.com

But then again, Timelines are Only important if you are familliar with the BattleTech Universe - or want to become. I am NOT^^ - so feel free to criticize.

If you really want to have an adequate help on deciding which mod for what, i shall insolently include the following link, which helped me quite a lot:

Link

to my Understanding, both, BTA and RT are pretty much hardcore Stuff very close to the Tabletop, which is outside my Comfort Zone, so i stuck to BattleTech Extended, which, despite the Name, Extends the Game and adds a few nice tweaks, but only changes the game so much, that you can still Recognize it.

So, Have fun Playing this really awesome game, and always aim for the Head (Don't blast enemy Mechs to pieces, it'll reduce your Salvage to put them in your own Arsenal ^~^)
