I am amazed at the level of depth this game has. It takes a little while to get a proper understanding of the battle mechanics, but you're in for a great time once you're past that first hurdle. There are so many varieties of strategies available that I found myself constantly changing my play style as I went through the main game.

My only gripe with the game in its current state is some later beasts don't have finished art and animation; but the game is in Early Access and getting regular updates. I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for this game.

So I do very much enjoy the core gameplay loop of the game (only played multiplayer so far), but the one thing I can't get over is the lack of customization options that the game allows players. Halo has a history of having cool armor for your characters but this game is simply just lacking in that field currently. I understand it's a first person shooter so the look of your character really doesn't mean all that much; but it's a trend that many games practice and can honestly be exciting at times. Even comparing armor with this game and MCC shows there is a total design change on how to handle cosmetics.

At the very least; there need to be more options for starting players to switch around. Primarily the objects that need the most is helmets. I typically used the scout helmet in halo games, so I was glad to see my dude sporting it out of the box; but when I see everyone wearing one, it makes my choice feel less special.

Player retention is a tricky thing to get right; a game needs to have a reason for its audience to keep coming back. So many other games are fighting for my attention that it's hard to find reasons to keep coming back. Sure, the gameplay is solid; but I can only play the game for so long before I will move on to something else. I really hope Halo and 343 can pick things up and drive everyone to keep enjoying this game.

You can ram your plane into other planes; and still keep flying afterwards.

At first it might not seem like there's much to do, but after looking through the mods there is so much stuff to do without having to set things up yourself. Great mods like trouble in terrorist town, prop hunt, and gmod tower keep this game fresh and fun to play with friends. I am going to spend lots of hours in Garry's mod!
