Stray is a really great game. The cyberpunk setting is extremely beautiful, the sound design is great, and the game runs surprisingly smoothly for how good it looks. Playing as a cat gives you a unique vertical component of exploration that you wouldn't get as a human character, which helps make the world feel big and detailed.

My major criticism is around saving: you cannot save the game manually, it can only autosave. This wouldn't be a big deal, except the game does not autosave after every time you achieve something. It only saves during certain story checkpoints, and after finding a badge. It doesn't save after finding a memory or a piece of sheet music, so if you find one of these and want to stop playing the game, you need to keep playing until the next checkpoint if you want that to save. This is pointlessly annoying in a game that is otherwise very polished and thoughtfully designed.

That aside, if I had to sum it up, I'd say that Stray is just a joy to play. I'm glad I got a chance to experience it.

Great game, truly a unique experience. The story and writing are super engaging, the voice acting is amazing. And I loved the unique skill system. Definitely don't pass this game up.

Kenshi is so much fun. The start of the game is definitely difficult, but the progression is very satisfying and rewarding: you start off the game barely able to take down a single bandit, having to run for your life from every group of enemies. Then eventually you're able to take down bandits, then a single iron spider, then holy nation patrols, then whole groups of cannibals. And every time you take down something new, you're like "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, we're strong enough to kill <that thing> now!" It's such a satisfying loop.

The game is not for everyone - some people will think it's too slow or difficult. To be fair, a lot of the map is pretty empty, and you can walk for quite a while without finding anything. But at the same time, it's a big map and there are tons of ruins to explore - you just need to find them.

Also, you do admittedly need to spend a lot of time resting to heal. But I personally don't mind that too much. Not being able to fully heal immediately adds real gravity to the injuries you sustain.

One criticism I have is that while the soundtrack is good, it hardly ever plays in game, even if you set the song frequency to its highest setting. I've taken to muting the in-game music and playing the game's soundtrack on Youtube in the background. That works well enough, but I wish I didn't have to do that.

All things considered, I'd 100% recommend this game if you're in to long haul strategy and adventure games. I'm 82 hours in, and I'm sure I'll play it for another 80 at least :)

Subnautica is one of the best games I've ever played. The game creates an immersive and suspenseful atmosphere that keeps you emotionally invested the whole time. It's definitely a scary game, but I wouldn't call it a horror game. The game creates fear in a variety of ways, but there are no scripted jump scares. Though, a leviathan can sneak up behind you and scare the crap out of you if you're not aware of your surroundings!

The resource collection, research, and building mechanics are really well done. Even when you're going out to find more salt, quartz, or titanium again for the 20th time, it never gets tedious. Exploring the world is just so much fun, and the Seamoth controls are super smooth. The environments are really beautiful and very detailed.

However, it's not a perfect game. The controls out of the water are really rough - it's very easy to get stuck just walking around normally, especially in the Prawn suit. Thankfully you spend most of the game in the water, but it would have been nice if the land segments had more polish. Hopefully Below Zero improves on this. The quick slot system is also way too clunky for a game this good. It should allow you to choose which slot to put an item into, instead of always putting it in the first slot.

Those issues are minor though. Overall, Subnautica is just a really fun game, and you should play it!

FTL is a super fun game with awesome music and a lot of replay value. It's pretty challenging, but very rewarding as you see yourself get better at it. In my first few easy mode runs I died almost immediately, then after a few more attempts I started surviving a bit longer, and after many attempts finally made it to the end. Then I tried normal mode, and I was right back to square one.

Definitely give this game a shot.

This is a great game, I've had a lot of fun with it. You're going to need to read up a bit on road design though, roundabouts won't solve all your problems.

Honestly, this game is a masterpiece. I haven't played anything quite like it before. The world (well, solar system) is immersive and beautiful, the story is engaging, and the music is great.

Do yourself a favour and don't read any spoilers for this game: just get it and play it.

Hades is such a fun, rewarding, and beautiful game. You can really feel that the developers put their soul into this game.
