ok ill be short and sweet. the difficulty spikes are ridiculously stupid and fatal. the variety in enemy is very limited as well as variety in weapons making experimentation rather pointless after you find out that say RPGs and grenade launchers are probably going to kill you, machine guns and shot guns guzzle ammo, making it so every run you'll probably use only a few guns and perks each time. the unlockables are only unlocked by performing certain tasks, most of which have to be done in a single run and are so stupidly difficult and time consuming, in addition to being not worth it, making the entire gameplay loop boring

i absolutely loved the story, it had my jaw dropping as they hit you again and again with plot and story that you didnt really expect. the game play loop is fun, but i feel like there definitely could of been some permanent progression, especially for those who want to complete it. if you pick this up, just remember the story line is grim and dark

I dont really play many mainstream games any more since most are some of the biggest let downs but Control is a step above the rest. Story is amazing, gameplay is fun and rewarding, the challenges and progression is satisfying.

the premise gives you a lot of promise but unfortunately the game play cannot deliver. the unit swarm AI isnt that great and more tend to die in stupid ways then not. honestly you could probably beat the game with just 2 units, the crabs which have a good amount of HP but deal little dmg and the cultists who are weak but high range DPS. the arenas are really boring and after a while you wouldnt wana play it. this was actually the first game i was disappointed enough to refund

i would not recomend this game, not only does each "chapter" or planet require specific strategies for specific enemies and having to respec all the points to formulate astrategy to do it. but it doesnt tell you all the bonuses you get from all the research if you get any at all. it could of been a little better game with a few QOL changes, but not by much

I was so excited for this game when it went on sale and snatched it right up. until i found one bug after another some portions of the game wil not let you complete the objectve and create anything you'll jus tstand there while the NPCs fight it out with the only way to progress is to quit out ad try again, PRAYING it wont screw up. i wish i could get my money back, its just a port obviously or else that sort of thing wouldnt happen, and it happens a lot. google what i said and you'll find out its true
