Literally my favourite game of 2023!

This was seriously a blast to play through and would say it's something extremely special, not only does the combat flow and feel wonderful but you can really feel the heart the developers had put into this tittle, kept me smiling the whole way through and made me look forward to see what the future hold for this game and was strongly anticipating a sequel.

Shame to hear that Microsoft axed Tango Gameworks recently after making such wonderful titles like Hi-Fi Rush.

Had a blast with this game and honestly can't wait to see what it'll be like with every new update. Seriously, if you're intrigued by it, I'd say get it. I can't seem to put it down myself.

As of right now, I've only sunk a few hours into this game but I can certainly say that I see myself sinking a huge amount of time into it in the near future and would highly reccomend it if this looks interesting to you.

The gameplay is not really comparable to any game that I've played before. It has a nice focus on a stealth action approach, very slow paced and quite challenging, which is something I found myself very invested in, I like this approach to the gameplay especially in a Co-Op focused game.

I found myself getting really into it as you move your way through a level, weary about making too much noise and increasing the "heat meter" and the ever growing looming threat of having the horde grow more and more, getting more aggressive and simply the satisfying intense feeling I get from having to think fast as the hordes approach, making quick decisions on what to do, where to go, should we stick out and see if we can take them.

Things during a mission can get quite tough and pulling through it provides just a great feeling of success, wondering just how you ended up pulling it off in the end.


One of the minor elements I find myself a bit disappointed is the fact (to my knowledge) there is no HUD scale. I feel it's a bit too big and would greatly enjoy the option to customise it.

Battleborn is possibly the best "FPS; hobby-grade coop campaign; genre-blended, multi-mode competitive e-sports; meta-growth, choice + epic Battleborn Heroes!" game on steam.

I will start-off by saying that I've never been a huge fan of Gear Box Software and a lot of their games never appealed to me. I was always stingy on purchasing Battleborn due to the fact the game's community was extremely tiny making it quite hard to justify paying 40$ to not be able to play with other players.

That being said, Battleborn is pretty good now that the game is free to play but still lacks a large enough player base. The game is heavily MOBA inspired, expect elements from MOBAs in it, such as unique characters to choose from, minions, leveling up your character in game, taking mercenary camps and pushing the enemy sentries in order to win, though the game has various other game modes.

Though, one of the things I dislike about the game's vast collection of characters, I found some of them don't seem quite appealing design wise (to me) and a big majority of their voice performances seem rather overacted and even full of memes, which can come off as a bit annoying to some.

It's such a shame too see Battleborn still having trouble with a player base, even after it went free to play. I guess bad launch with bad marketing can really hurt a product this much. Something I do have to state is the unwarranted comparison to Overwatch as both games are vastly different at their cores though share some similarities, they can both exist on the market alongside each other.... At least they COULD have.

I have to say this DLC has been quite disappointing to me.

It consists of 2 heists, Brooklyn 10-10 (A rather short heist) and the infamous Yacht Heist which has been rumoured since back in the days of PAYDAY: THE HEIST. This being said I was rather excited for such a thing, I booted up the game played through both heists, noticed that in the description Yacht Heist said "Stealth is an OPTION" but ends up the heist is Stealth only.

Now, I don't hate Stealth in video games for matter a fact I love stealth in games but PAYDAY 2's Diesel Engine is pretty bad with this stuff, from Desync to bugs which causes Stealth to be more of stress and based on luck and RNG then skill. The fundamental problems with stealth lay at the heart of the game, it's engine...

One of the main reasons I still play PAYDAY and get excited for each DLC is more to listen to more Soundtrack, This time around we get 1 track by Carl Noren and 1 by Simon Viklund, as usual Lord Simon delivers on the quality we expect.... Though on the other end, Carl Noren (This is my opinion, taste is subjective) delivers another song that sounds extremely similar to his last 2 he has composed for the soundtrack, they felt real similar and generic in comparison to the work Simon has done. His music's style fits well for Halloween related events but I didn't real feel anything this time around during the heist that the song was designed for.

So I wouldn't really recommend this at full price, as for a majority of the audience you will be receiving 1 heist that you will most likely play and the other which you'll play a few times and not touch again.
