This Review is on the Game known a King Auther’s Gold (also known as KAG).
KAG is a 2D, “tidal styled” multiplayer war game with elements of sandbox added to it, the common mode played in it is Capture the Flag, but there are other modes such as Zombie Survival, and Deathmatch variations, Capture the Flag mode is the most commonly played mode pitting two teams fighting on different sides of the map, with each team given a number of team lives and one base with a flag on a pole. The enemy has to fight to the other’s base and steal their flag or kill the entire enemy to deplete the life counter of their team and finish the rest off. Deathmatch is the classic one life per player, duke it out to the death, PvP. And Zombie Survival mode has a small team of players surviving against zombie AI enemies which get steadily harder each night in the game that passes. The game is Free to Play, but most features are premium based, meaning that, for the most fun, buy it.

There are three different classes in this game, these are, knight, archer and builder. The knight; uses his shield to defend himself, and a sword to slash at others, this class also has thrown bombs. The archer is a ranged class; they can climb trees and fire from a fair distance. The last class, the builder, is where the sandbox elements come to play. To defend their base builders will build traps and defensive structures and also create siege weapons to use against the enemy structures, they also use their hammers and break enemy structures but are super weak offensively. I believe the addition of the builder was due to the popularity of games such as Minecraft and Terraria, and this has not hindered the game in any way, but has made it much more fun and open to other players who enjoy this type of genre. KAG has some decent balancing to the game design. It was mainly developed by a small company called Transhuman Design. The game has some “Mods” released but no full support as of yet. The game has been developed since 2011.

The main graphical design behind the game was based on the small title on the SNES,”King Arthur's World”. This is the reason the game is set in a pixelated 2D setting. I also believe this keeps the game simple in terms of Graphical User Interface. As such the game does age quite well, I’m sure I will be playing it for years still to come, so long as there are online players.

I played this game during the late alpha phase, it was fun and decent, I often enjoyed hours on end slaying the enemy or even participating in “Clan Wars” on the PvP elements in the game. I was in the Best Australian clan, “[AOE]” until a few patches ruined balance and the clan broke apart. And from experience, I can say this game is worth it.

Although like many MOBA games, Dota2 has depth in the stratergy used with in the game, unlike LOL where hero skill has more impact in the game, Dota2 is about the timing and Denial of the enemy and when to sieze control, with 129 items and 109 hero's all unlocked from the get go, it can be confusing to newer players, but each item and hero has a time when it becomes effective or ineffective, so choose wisely, for those who like stratergy and controling multiplayer games with eeb and flow, i recommend this game.
