"She lay there in bed, music turned up, trying to drown the thoughts in a sea of lyrics, trying to fall asleep, trying to forget. Begging time to pass by, for she had heard somewhere that time healed all wounds. Her heart ached so much so that now and then, all through the night, tears would find a way to escape their confines, no matter how tightly their prisons shut.

And all that was running through her mind was how he wanted nothing more to do with her. Like she was some kind of disease to be disposed of or thrown away. What hurt the most for her however, was how easily he'd run to someone new. Replaced, just like that. Like what they had wasn't worth it. All because of a flaw she had.

He left and let the ruins of what she thought was a relationship crumble upon her, crushing and breaking every bone in her body. As she lay paralyzed amongst the rubble, there was no blinding rage, disappointment or any other emotion for that matter. No ill wishes or hatred. Only inexplicable sadness that seeped into her heart and began consuming her soul."

I beg you. Steal her heart in the dead of night. stomp on it, twist it, stab it, tear it apart and set it on fire. Destroy it; Darling, I pray you finish the job. Lest she find the AUDACITY to love again once more.
