I just finished episode one and I have to say that TellTaleGames hasn't lost their touch. They are such effective story tellers, it almost makes you wish they wrote the script for every game.

Great 2D fighter. There's not much to say about this other than we need more like it. A few more characters wouldn't hurt either.

Early Access Review
I've re-written this review several times but this should be the final edit unless The Fun Pimps really screw something up for release.

What can I say about 7 days to die? Well first and foremost it is NOT like its contemporaries. If you've played Rust, The Forest, Minecraft, etc, you're still not prepared for what this game has to offer. As the game stands, there's no story, no introduction, no FMV's, and no tutorial. You're spat into the world with a few things stuffed in your belt loop and and immediately detailed environment. The game wastes no time in allowing you to discover all that it has to offer. You are literally in a zombie filled playground where the only limits are the limits of your imagination. There are currently several biomes(grasslands, city, forest, dessert, snow) all of which have their own unique feel.

Pros:
Expert crafting and block placement system. Blocks snap to one another and form a bond based on weight an physics rather than just because. Place a block on the ground and the ground adjusts to seat the block rather than leaving gaps between earth and block.

Randomly Generated Worlds: One of the newer features in this game places you in a completely procedurally generated world based on the name of your game. This can add hours if not months on to replayability

Customization: The Fun Pimps seem to know a good few things about making games. This one has a number of sliders/selections for difficulty, loot availabilty etc, and there are more options on the way.

Honorable Mentions:
Physics system, Textures/Biomes, Dedicated servers, Modding,

Cons:
The game isn't finished. Probably one of the biggest drawbacks of this game is that it is not finished. There are so many great things on the horizon that it's probably not fair to even review it.

Lack of story is another drawback but this is also directly related to the game not being finished. However the game as it sits is truly just a sandbox akin to Garry's Mod but in a living world

Lack of in game content(weapons, blocks, items, etc) is again a victim of early access as well as a casualty of being a sandbox game rather than a simulator. Those that play the game frequently would like more access to the different blocks or items found throughout the game. I don't believe this can happen without overwhelming those that are not as familiar with the game and therefore requires modding for deeper access to in game content.

7 Days to Die is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys building, crafting and zombies. 8.5/10

This is a great and highly addictive game. You'll want to run it over and over and over and over until you are passing the controller to your own offspring.

This game has only gotten better with age. I'm not a huge fan but on a good server with an actual team, the game feels like a real tactical Op. I hope we see more from this developer and this game.

I'm still on the fence about this game. I've been murdered once (sniped by some random while only having been in game for a total of 20 minutes) and wandered aimlessly another time. There doesn't seem to be any real focus of this game. Since I was unceremoniously murdered I lost all of my tutorial items and was re-spawned with a knife and nothing more. So now what...where does this game go? I have no idea but I'm really not liking the way it looks

One of if not the best FPS/RPG. You can't ask for much more as far as humor and replayability. The only detraction is hunting new weapons when you either get tired of yours or you out level them. This is one of the few times where a sequel outdoes the original.

This game is simply put a 20 hour episode of Southpark. You feel the weight of being Eric Cartman's friend and the gravity of what it means to step foot into the quiet mountain town. The gameplay is very similar to Costume Quest. This hit so many high notes with me that it was totally worth the asking price. You have four classes to choose from and a whole lot of Ginger and fart jokes from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope you do to.

This game wants to be good. It has almost everything to make a good game. Right up until you need to buy gems to get upgrades etc. It's like Orcs must die but with a pay-to-win mechanic tacked on. It's fun and yet throroughly disappointing when it comes to the overall p2w game mechanic. Try it for yourself and see.
