I wish there was a something in between "yes" and "no" for recommending. This is mostly a critique of the story because it's honestly not a bad city builder game. I love the atmosphere of the game and i think they made a lot of good decisions for scaling it up from the first one. It does a lot of things right, but it just doesn't feel like Frostpunk. The atmosphere is there and the story is there. The depth, however, is kind of lacking. There were so many interesting story elements going on that just didn't go anywhere or didn't feel very fleshed out. I think the intro has more lore and story than the rest of the game combined. The story was pretty good and i was super interested when i started but it kinda doesn't really go anywhere after the mid game. And just when it's starting to get good again it just... Ends.

For a game that uses all it's assets from the Unity asset store, has AI voice over, and a pretty boring campaign, the rogue like mode is pretty fun.

Early Access Review
Very bare bones game compared to the many other city builder games of this variety that i have played. It's not bad, but it's not really that good either. I know it's early access with a lot of features missing. If anything i would say this game was not ready for early access. I found myself after the 6 hour mark not really having that much fun. It's got a lot of the parts of a city builder with none of them fleshed out. For example the combat is mid at best. The out of map AI is already starting to take over your region before you even reach the second spring which makes it so you have to pack as much productivity into the first year just to keep up which becomes tedious. I like where the game could go but at this point it is below average with the majority of its game mechanics.

Crashed after tutorial and never opened again. Really gets to the point and just crashes before I get too invested instead of 3 hours in like most games.

9/11 Would crash again.

Probably my favorite FPS of the past few years. After years of playing half-baked multiplayer FPS games and games ruined by developers (Looking at you Overwatch), this game is very a breath of fresh air. Is it the most amazing FPS ever made? Certainly not. But is it fun? Absolutely. And that is the point.

I would take most of the negative reviews with a grain of salt. The game is free and you lose absolutely nothing from giving it a try. Most of the negative reviews are just complaining about balancing they did after the beta. Which is just silly because that is what betas are for. They complain about silly things like how they lowered the movement speed a little bit (Which they didn't. They just changed the default FOV so it looks like you move slower. It's literally one of the first things i change when i play a new FPS game).

The destruction in this game is really well done and the gun play can feel very satisfying. With the different guns, tool, and environments this game makes really easy to pull of pretty amazing combat. The environmental destructing allows each match to unfold into a completely different experience very regularly. The game is not complicated and the mechanics are very easy to understand. There are no complicated objectives of over designed game mechanics. The game doesn't take itself too seriously and you shouldn't take it too seriously either. It's a game that is fun for the sake of being fun without wasting your time with an unnecessary amount of features, gimmicks, and "innovative game-play." The Finals thrives in it's simplicity and that's what makes it so great. The Finals is just stupid fun. Especially with friends.

9/10

Sea of Thieves is obviously superior when it comes to exploration and treasure hunting. However, my biggest complaint with Sea of Thieves was that combat always felt tedious and frustrating the majority of the battles. But if what you want is hardcore ship on ship action, this is the game for you. When it comes to combat Blazing Sails is way more fun and intense. This game obviously needs some work but the groundwork is solid. My only complaint is that current player base is relatively small. There are more than when i first played and i hope the player base continues to grow.

This is easily my favorite game of the past 5 years if not more. The amount you can do and the different ways you can play is staggering and amazing. It's a game where you are thinking about a different play through before you even finish the first act. I have been playing for well over 100 hours now and i haven't even seen Baldur's Gate yet. If you like D&D this is a must play. If you have never played D&D but like RPG's this game is a must play. I cannot stress enough how much i recommend this game without spoiling the story. It's the only game I have played since i bought it and i am now trying to get all my friends to play it like a drug dealer. It's great with friends and great without. 11/10

Pretty decent survival game with an interesting twist on the whole "base building" aspect. Because you do not in fact build a base but beef up a tunneling drill the can move from location to location. i definitely recommend you play it if you are looking for a crafting survival game that isn't like the swaths of "open world survival craft" games on steam that over saturate the steam store these days. it's got decent gun-play and a pretty fun variety of weapons to choose from. Modifying your drill is pretty fun and satisfying as well although could use a few more options on customizing. The mining is okay. like, you cant change the terrain in any way which is kinda unfortunate in a game where you have a giant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ drill. Also you cannot drive the drill. the only way to drive is underground through a top down map view that doesn't leave much to the imagination. the crafting is pretty cool as you can set it up so you can just make everything from one spot which is refreshing. the progression is pretty quick which is nice but my inly complaint with it is that it is tied to quests. Maybe it's just me but i don't like having that many quests in games like this. Just drop me in and let me do whatever i want to do. Instead the game gives no explanations for anything outside of doing tedious quests that add very little to the game-play and absolutely nothing to the story

Overall id give it a good 6.5/10

Pretty good with good promise but I've enjoyed my time so far. Just wish it didn't halt your progress to do quests and that you can drive the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ drill.

Pretty decent and fun to play. Found the gameplay very satisfying and it was cool watching the place changing. It's just way too short for the price. If i was trying my hardest to beat it as fast as i could, i could easily beat it in just a few hours. it has the feel of an early access game that has a lot more content coming but its a full release. I'd say get it on sale if it's ever $10 or less. Otherwise it just leaves a feeling of "what else" when there is nothing left to do.
