It can easily be called a phasmo clone, and yes some of the mechanics are blatant copies of phamo's, but I'd argue they are a very small percentage of the actual game. The meat of this product is the navigation and traversal of the random maps and being able to successfully able to elude the main enemy in each. Each mummy behaves differently from the other and have starkly different techniques and counters to them. For the price, I'd argue that you can get a decent amount of unique entertainment out of it with friends and a little solo.

In games with guns, there's usually a mechanic involving the act of reloading that weapon. A lot of the time you simply press reload and your character will play an animation as they put more ammo into the weapon without consequence, munitions will be replenished and if need be you can cancel the reload. A few times games will have a some type of trade off for reloading to make it more tactical. It normally boils down to either making it so you lose all unspent ammo in the weapon or making it so that you cannot cancel the reload, sometime both. Left 4 dead on the other hand has a more unique way of handling reloading. Once you press the reload button all ammo in the gun will be removed and placed back into your reserve as the reload process begins, you may cancel the process by switching to another weapon or item or have it interrupted by enemies, but you will have start the reloading process all over. It's a system that makes you think more about cost of time that comes with a reload because it's something you really have to commit to. In all my years of playing fps', I don't think I have really seen that anywhere else. Which if funny to me because when I think about left 4 dead, its one of the main mechanics that comes to my mind. Almost defines that game honestly, honestly that's probably why back 4 blood failed, no other reason comes to mind.

Valve honestly amazes me. This tech demo, designed for the Steam Deck, has native controller support for the Steam Controller, something they stopped making and selling years ago. It's not something automated either, some one actually manually implemented it. They really didn't need to do that, no one would have cared if they didn't, but they did. It's stuff like that that makes it feel like they really do care for the people who put so much faith in them. Like they don't see us a customers, but as people. People who love the things they make, so they try their best not to disappoint us. I gotta say, its hard to not to love Valve.

Also its a fun demo and stuff. No reason not to play it...

The closets most of us will ever get to the childhood fantasy of digging up dinosaurs. Pretty good balance between realism and user-friendly gameplay, can’t wait to see how it plays in the full game. Overall, pretty fun game, though I can see how it might get repetitive for some.

Plus, the ending did put a smile on my face

The "It's alright," Joke only really works when you have 1000+ hours in a game, but its still pretty alright.

I swear I've played this before, possibly as a flash game on some old site, hard to say.

Anyhow, all you gotta do is turn your seed into different types of seeds to use their unique qualities to over come obstacles and advance in the level. It's a short game to complete (took me under fifteen minutes) and it has a really cute art style that display well in 4K (hardly relevant, I know). Only down side is that alot of the puzzles are more trial and error than actual puzzle solving, but it's not like its an actual problem for a game like this.

Overall I think its worth a try and is well worth the time.

Game is very basic, but I didn't have a bad time playing it. First act is set in a nicely atmospheric underworld with some ok first-person platforming. Second act is mostly made of placeholder materials, so the environment is a little lackluster and the 'monsters' are a joke of an asset, but it did give off a bit of a Portal or Q.U.B.E. vibe. It mostly plays around outmaneuvering a 'monster' so that you can move to the next room to outmaneuver its 'monster', but it did have a platforming segment which I actually enjoyed quite a bit. The whole thing is stable, no falling through floors or anything like that, ran at 60 FPS in 4K on my 1080 with no drops, and is direct about where to go and is very forgiving about failures. There are also some notes laying around that describes the development of the actual game in broken English (mind you the devs are from Argentina), this really makes the game feel like some type of commentary mode that should be included in the actual game, but whatever. Oh, and there are some 'horror' elements with flashbacks of a hospital room or something like that... (there’s no horror in this game)...

All in all, game only takes thirty minutes to finish, occupies about a tenth of a gig, and cost nothing. I personally think it’s worth giving a look, but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to play it, especially if you hate first-person platforming (which is most of this game).

Does Skyrim need another positive review? Of course not! Are you so unfamiliar with Skyrim that you'd need to read reviews to know if it's any good? Probably not. If you do, however, just take a look at my play time. Now listen to this: I haven’t even retrieved the horn for the Grey Beards (A very early quest). How is it possible for someone to achieve so many hours without getting very far into the game? NO, NOT FARMING HOURS! Mods. The wonderful modding community that Skyrim created has breathed so much life into this game that Valve tried to monetize it. From interface modifiers to entire new lands with people and quest of it's own, you could just get lost trying to find a single mod to play to the point you'll reach the mod limit. This game will almost never get old so long as the modding community is there to keep its blood flowing.

Evolve. I loved Evolve. Let me tell you a story my father told me. When he was young he got a pinball machine for his birthday. He loved that thing, not only was it cool but it made him cool (what with it being the equivalent to a VR headset today). But like all things, it got a little stale. So he took a break from playing with it for a while. After three days of not touching it he came home and noticed it was gone. He asked his father what happened to it and he told him that he gave it to a neighbor kid because he thought he didn't want it anymore. Today, I know his pain. I haven't played evolve in a while, sure, but I still loved that game. I made so much progress: unlocking almost all the achievements, getting all but one of my medics to legendary, and not to mention the fact I bought all the monsters and characters. But today, none of that matters. Evolve has basically become one of those Iphone games that you see commercials for on T.V. but you think to yourself that they have no business on T.V. Today, all progress has been erased, Achievements, levels, character skills, stats; all of it gone. Hunt and arena are the only game modes now and all the skills are based on spending fake Iphone money. You can earn Iphone money by playing matches or completing daily "quest" complete enough quest daily and you get more money and unlock special prizes. You use that money to buy skins and characters and level up your skills. (you should begin to see the comparison). Overall, this system could have been great for just the skins alone, but the skills did not need this. I know making this a whole new game on steam would have been a little weird, but they forced us into this new version and took everything away without our word. This game is dead to me now, perhaps I shall come back to it, But I'm not ready to just rebuild what I had spent so long to create.
