This game is art - the music, color pallet, the dying world you explore, everything about this game screams to me that this is what games are all about. If you ever need to convince someone that games have matured and truly become an artform comparable with literature, this is the game you show them. Such a gripping story without the use of dialogue shouldn't even be possible, but somehow it works, and people still scour the game to parse out meaning in every detail.

With the 60 FPS update, the combat feels just as good as it should, which is a godsend. HLD compares to a 2D Bayonetta for me, a fast-paced hack and slash game with gorgeous design and a gameplay loop so solid you'll keep coming back to it just to play around now and then.

Honestly, I cannot praise this game enough. If you're on the fence about this game, just get it. I promise you it's worth every penny.

This game is addictive - ridiculously so. There's SO much content, and such a high difficulty (even on easy mode) that you're likely never to see it all. A spaceship management simulator with a lot of personality that relies heavily on RNG sounds like a winning combination on paper, and everything falls into place in the game to make this one of the most enjoyable experiences on steam.

Any fan of roguelites will definitely love this game.
