They've done a pretty good job so far.

I played this game like 30 hours to reach the end of the beta version, and another 20 hours after it's fully released.
In my opinion, this game is not for everyone. However, if this type of games are your things, you just cannot stop playing. There're 3 reasons that I don't recommend it to everyone.

First, If you don't like cast away your heros like a spent torch, this is not your game.
Sometimes you have to send them away because they're useless, or they just meet their fate on the quests,
or you even have to recruit heros to farm a bit of golds, and throw them away.
It's all about expendable heros clearing their(or future heros') path to the success.

Second, the battle system is not for everyone. So it is all about planning your attacks.
All the enemies are unique. Most of them are extremely strong or has devastating debuffs.
Neutralize them before they kill you and make the most of every turns you get.

Third, I must warn you, this game is rather unforgiving and challenging.
You can lose all of your legendary heros in a minute. No guaranteed victories. Everything is unexpected, no easy wins.
That's what makes this game fun and non-repetitive.

If those things sound appealing to you(or you don't mind them), I highly recommend you to buy this game.
Defenitely worth the price. 2000 yen... I mean, 15 dollars or so.
