Look, while the mixed reviews to some degree are fair as this game came across more like a massive expansion to Civ V rather than a completely unique game it was actually a lot of fun, it had a lot of unique mechanics and idea, and was overall a lot of fun. It is 100% worth buying on even a minor sale and overall was a good game, especially now that a lot of the bugs have been ironed out and there is a decent modding base for it.

I am unsure of why so many people dislike this game. It is a more challenging campaign than other Total Wars, but to me that is just part of why I like it.

Awesome game, if you are willing to put in the time it has great story and great gameplay

This is an awesome game 100% worth it. The team play is great and the solo play also great. Very few problems and they are mostly minor

This game is amazing. I've played something like 30 hours in the last week, and could easily do 30 more.
