Game ran fine back in 2018 when Foundations was a new update

Deciding to try the game again, but it won't launch. I have tried over 20 different approaches and fixes, none doing anything to fix issue where the program doesn't even launch when you press play.
Had a check in the game forums on steam discussion, a lot of other people are having issues getting the game to launch as well, a few saying this is caused by the Origins update (Their games were running fine before Origins update, but afterwards the game won't launch when you press play)

Great potential of a game, shame I can't even get it to start lol......

--------- EDIT --------------

I have finally been able to play the game, by purchasing it on the PS4 store page, download and install, and it runs straight away. Have been playing it since with no problems, so I think its an absolute shame that this game is screwed over for the Steam platform.

One of the best puzzle games ever! Since I'm known for my love of puzzle games, I was gifted this as a birthday present, and I can gladly say, it's a very great one! Lovely graphics, flawless mechanics, excellent gameplay, and overall a gem in the puzzle game point-and-click genre.

I've seen several reviews of people complaining about having to constantly backtrack to areas already passed...clearly they never grew up with old classics such as Spyro, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, etc. I think Backtracking is just a normal part of puzzle games, to double check everywhere and find any hidden secrets or clues that you can use for progressing.

It's a game, aaaall about observational skills, and some puzzle solving skills at several points, such as the ceiling tiles! Especially the basement tiles, you need to understand how they work, and be able to spot all the tiles to solve the puzzle ;)

Fantastic game, got 100% achievements, its a grand shining example of a perfect point and click game, and I would recommend it a MUST HAVE for any fans of puzzle games. Especially of the Point and Click style (Such as Myst, Riven, etc)

50 / 50 Eyes, would play again if I could wipe my mind of all the solutions.

"Have you seen this mask before? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"

Fun little game, interacting with cutscenes, using deduction and elimination to find the right questions to ask people to progress the game. And some excellent acting! I hope they make more of these kind of games, it's a lovely style!

Much like it's predecessor, The Room, The Room 2 follows a similar style of game-play; Therein, instead of focusing on one puzzle box after another within each other, you're guided into "rooms" that each contain a series of puzzles around the place.
Be it on a table, on the floor, in the back corner of a room. Each puzzle in a room may be independent from one another, or one puzzle will activate another one in sequence upon finishing, but all puzzles come together to activate a doorway that allows you to progress to the next room!

Being quite the fan of puzzle games and using the grey matter to solve these puzzles, I found myself rushing right through the entire game as everything is sort of “given” to you, of what to do. There wasn't much involvement for thinking or problem solving as the game loosely guides you through the puzzles, and found myself finishing this game in 2 hours. Compared to the 4-6 hours of The Room I did a review for previously.

My overall score for this game, would be a 5 / 10. It's got very nice graphics, a lovely style, a game with working mechanics, nothing glitches or breaks. Some puzzles may be hardy, but are quickly solved with little thought in it.

If you want a casual puzzle game without racking your brains out in stress trying to solve impossible puzzles, this game is for you!

I found myself enjoying it though regardless of it's shortfalls and easy difficulty, which is what matters, having fun with games! :)

I would vote this game down if not for its sheer easiness and length. But I digress!

The game was actually quite enjoyable! It felt very reminiscent of Myst, how you can move around an object and observe it to find hints and clues to solve puzzles. But I blame the original Tomb Raider games for teaching me to always observe and keep an eye out for anything suspicious and notice...subtle hints.

This game has plenty of subtle hints! One thing I quite liked, was how there was always more than what met the eye and kept me going.

Sadly, I finished the game in 3 hours...Its a good brain teaser and puzzler if you want something new and challenging! It has a multitiude of varying puzzles and one or two had me stumped for a few minutes..

Overall, i'd give it... 7/ 10. The missing 3 being how most of the puzzles are quite straight forward, and how it's a generally short game.

Hopefully the devs will impliment a mod system to other users can create their own models and puzzles for others to play? I see this as having great potential, especially how its a point and click game that revolves around in 3d space, quite rare to find!
