Beautiful survival game with unique realms mechanic. I love the visuals, love being able to change realm traits and reset realms, the crafting system (it is very complex), the developer listening to players, and the building system.

Excellent sequel to the Forest! Still in early access but fantastic already. The devs listen and respond to community feedback and are consistently adding content and fixes. Building is unique and satisfying. The graphics are gorgeous, I love the new mutant types, seasons are cool and interesting, and the addition of guns (more then just a pistol) was a great decision! Some vehicles need work (the Knight V is a joke), but that is literally my only complaint. Highly recommend <3

Heat is a survival game set in America during a period after 1863 when Eastern colonists began to move west.

Pros:

Beautiful graphics

Lovely rendering of America, the environments are all unique and immersive. The map is truly cool and beautiful and makes the game worth the $7 even just as an exploration/walking simulator to see all the detailed and varied biomes they have created.

Animal models are very well drawn and rendered.

A plethora of cool furniture, stations, weapons, foodstuffs, clothing etc to research. I think the research tree is nicely balanced as well; since it is level locked you need to play a while to get the end game stuff.

A good variety of building types (brick, stone, timber wood etc) which all sport nice textures and means you can create some truly beautiful structures.

Farming is fun and lucrative, grow some grain and build a mill. You’ll see huge profits from baking!

Finding and taming mounts is fun and not as annoying or time consuming as ARK or Dark and Light.

Cons:

When playing Co-Op on a dedicated server you will visually desync from your friends if riding horses. This is a game-breaking bug as one of the best things to do in Heat is explore and it makes it impossible to do so with friends if you have to constantly unmount and remount your horse to see each other.

Lack of varied enemies: The only human NPC enemies are bandits which spawn at bandit camps around the map. There is no variation in the buildings or look of bandit camps and it quickly gets repetitive and tiresome. Bandits also drop nothing but crap loot which makes engagements not even worth the trouble.

You are bald when wearing hats. Um....why?

Lack of quests or story. There is NO questline or story features in the game at ALL, and while the environment is beautiful, it quickly begins to feel empty since there is no purpose to what you are doing besides building up a homestead. There no unique enemies, bosses, or npcs that add character to the world.

Geodes are OP. You could literally spend all your time farming geodes and selling gems for money and supplies. There is nothing motivating you to farm or earn money in other ways besides variety of play.

Human models are terribad. Its almost impossible to make a good looking female character.

Lack of region based cultural markers. For example, Native Americans are named Stephanie and Lisa. Immersion breaking. There should be different tribes in different areas with historically accurate names.

Overall Heat is worth the sale price because of the sheer amount of work they put into the map and environment and the pleasure of exploring and seeing all of America. Homesteading is nicely fleshed out as well and it is fun to see your work become a thriving farm. However without addressing the desyncs, the character model issues, and the lack of quests or varied npc enemies, it is not living up to its full potential.

6/10

Extremely short point-and-click Lovecraft adventure. The art is disturbing in the best way. It's also free, so play it.

The Last Door is a super atmospheric point-and-click adventure game. It reminds me of Golden-Age adventure games like Monkey Island and King's Quest, but on a much smaller scale. Its episodic, but the story shocks and compels you to keep playing through every episode. The actual puzzles aren't difficult, the graphics are spooky, and the sound effects really help horrify. Play if you like adventure games, Lovecraft, and retro-graphic-goodness. <3

Subnautica is a masterpiece of atmospheric first person survival games. Immersive doesn’t begin to describe how engrossing the environment and story truly is. People might qq for multiplayer, but the beauty of Subnautica is the feeling of isolation in a totally unique and amazing world. Building is lock based and easy to master, there is minimal if any grinding, as instead of needing massive amounts of resources, you are motivated to explore deeper and further to find and collect rare materials, tools are fun to use, exploration is heart pounding and always fun, and there is always something new to see and explore. Instead of clunky cut scenes the story is propelled by exploration, found lore, and radio communication. If you enjoy survival games and want a truly "submersive" experience you should definitely pick this one up!

On the surface, this looks like a stock survival game. Hunt, gather, craft, rek, repeat. But this game is SO MUCH MORE than that. The story is amazing, and the ending is everything I hoped LOST would be. Its incredibly fun multiplayer, has regular content updates, patches, and fixes, runs smoothly, and is beautiful to look at. Plus, nothing is better than killing armsies with samurai swords.

An innovative spin on the turn-based strategy genre. Compare to Heroes of Might and Magic or Disciples. Well worth the money it features near endless gameplay, diverse maps, interesting characters, and tons of quests, loot, enemies, buildings, and units to play with. You can also be as kind a ruler as you wish, or as evil a tyrant. Eador has some cons; a diplomacy system that is extremely limited and almost completely non-user firendly (I have yet to successfully forge an alliance with another master while on a shard). It also forgoes a totally pure RPG system like the Heroes series as heroes don't carry over between maps. So while you can level up to your hearts delight within a shard, all those experience points and high-powered items are lost once you beat it. Your deity character is also non-customizable and has little effect on actual gameplay. But besides these minor qualms fans of the TBS genre should pick this one up.
