A fresh and cute idle game with a lovely focus on having a good amount of meaningful upgrades instead of having tons of nothing upgrades.
From what I've played it's not gonna be a main idle game for a lot of people but it is well worth checking out if you're looking for something to enjoy for a month+

Took it upon myself to fix the Dev's response to people being mad about a predatory thing he said if would never add, please enjoy:
A note to those wondering where I've been and are eager to get back to more content: as you hopefully understand, I felt it was best for me to stick to my main mission as a creator -- working and delivering on actual predatory content for people to "enjoy". Put simply, what I've always cared about most is that A: my game is P2W, and B: a whole lot of people pay and whale it. For A, the game itself hasn't changed, no new or old content without micro-transactions; my focus being on game-pay (patent pending) being "fun" and predatory like companions will continue, because unfair balance and ability to experience just enough content to hook you has always been what has kept the game alive and greedy for almost 3 whole years now. For B, the last update enables me to bring the game to even more wallets than just those I have already found; you may not know this, but unless you were here since November 2020, you yourself are likely only here because of similar updates I've made in the past that allowed my marketing/sponsored vids to reach you. Fortunately for all of us, the truth is that the game was as "fun" as it was before P2W, as evidenced by less people playing today than two weeks ago, and with continued hard work on my end and constant engagement with the whale community who simply want to have fun paying and appreciate the dedication I've shown over the years, the game will only get greedier and greedier and the community will grow smaller and weaker

The main problem I see with the game right now is it lacks the charm and personality of the original DD in terms of map order and GUI.
in this it just feels like a mess of different levels stringed together with no real theme other than act 1 which almost works in my opinion, where as In the first game it was like I was climbing up from the dark work areas of the castle with Act1, to the living quarters where people would go about there days in Act2, leading to Act3 where day turns to night as we move higher and higher till you reach the summit during a storm, the wind howling on the ramparts as we make our last stand to protect the lands of Etheria from the old ones army.

As for the GUI it lacks any personality at all, where the original had metal borders with diamond shaped rivets, a wood and parchment backing, animated bars for health and enemy's left making this just feels like any other game these days, the blandness of the GUI comes in spades with the inventory and level select screen.

Two smaller things that bug me are the ring menu no longer allowing me to change the keybindings of towers quickly and the pinging no longer sounds different between characters although these I could forgive if other parts of the game had charm at all.

All in all I think this is looking more like another DD2 for me instead of a remade version of the original akin to the crash trilogy which is why I'm hopping I'll be proven wrong down the line.
