Game has some really great and unique ideas. It's also bursting with charm and awesome tunes... the gameplay is really lacking though for me. I loved the writing and jokes and music but I can't say I was particularly moved or had loads of fun.... So I don't understand the universal praise.

Still giving it a thumbs up as it is in no ways bad, but it really seems skippable to me after my one pacifist playthrough

Even if you don't care for anime or visual novels Doki Dokie Literature Club should be a must play for those who want appreciate or want to understand the possibilities for innovative game design. Doki Doki Literacture Club game revels in the opporunity to play with both genre tropes and even the basic rules of how a game functions in a truly memorable way.


This will be a game people talk about for years to come; and is likely to be influential to game design.

Just didn't click with me. Wasn't as funny as youtubers made it too be. Ovverated but well made. A lot more modes than when originally released. Nifty and creative modes too. 6/10.
