I've seen something terrible in a barn

It'd be nice if there was an option in between yes and no for these reviews, but I get why theres not at the same time. Anyway, I chose yes for this game because despite the multitude of issues (and there are quite a few, though personally I think some people are blowing them way out of proportion), I still have a lot of fun playing it. I only have about 7 hours on steam, but I played it a good amount on Game Pass too. I think people were expecting it to have the depth of Warhammer 2 at launch, which is silly imo because that game had years of dev time after launch.
To not ramble, my honest thoughts are that if you are a casual player you'll enjoy this game. If you prefer to play on the higher difficulties, without mods, and multiplayer, give it more time in the oven.

It really is a shame, because this could have been something special. Instead, it is more than obvious that as little time as possible was spent on these portraits. The base humanoid portraits are the only portraits that are dimorphic, so it was reasonable to expect DLC portraits made by a wealthy developer to be dimorphic as well. I was hoping to have more options to make Empires look a little less cookie cutter. Instead, some of the portraits have less customization than non-humanoid portraits. The ships, are pretty meh, each class just looking like an enlarged version of the one before it. Overall, this DLC is a let down and not worth your money. If it ever becomes free (hah) or gets a hefty price reduction, maybe consider buying it. Otherwise, spend your money on the plantoid pack or one of the story packs that actually adds content the developers cared about.

Quick Edit: I must say I do really like the demonic (for lack of a better descriptor) looking humanoids.

I ever tell you bout the time me and my buddy Keith bought this great game called L4D2? Oh yea, we got to fight our way through neverending hoards of undead on great maps with great characters. Pretty good graphics too. It was all around a great experience!

-Now true European
-Force natives into army
-Force natives to fight in India
10/10 Would force Indians to fight Indians again

Thsi game is great. very detailed and the graphics are great for the time. I have played over 650 hours of this and im still not bored. I do recomend you get Men of war: Assualt Squad 2. Like this game, just better in every area.
