DRG is still growing after five years, a lot of triple A titles can't match that. The gunplay and atmosphere are its strongest selling points but past 500hrs you will ultimately stay for the fun it allows you to have compared to many games riddled with invisible walls and a nanny-like hand-holding approaches to even side quests that makes you think we are already in a manchild, somafilled, modern, hellhole folks like huxley rightly feared.

The thing i enjoy the most about this title is the way you can manipulate efficency, maybe its cause im german and thats our thing but i doubt it tbh. The overall theme, artwork, details and especially city mechanics are already solid and rich in content, hence why i dumped 250+ hours into it.

What stands out most to me however is the way you think about how you set up your base, its different and hard for me to describe, to sum it up: rewarding as f*ck(no rhyme intended)

I could list alot more about his development updates, consumer policy, positive feedback i got from picky friends but in the end you already get what i trying to tell you.

TL,DR: if this looks even a shred appealing to you, pick it the f*ck up

The first RNG Ballbuster i enjoyed, theme fits too.

Unironically better than Game Dev Tycoon in wich i always had a lack of actual feedback in the mechanics (yes i used generate game report and online sheets) or personal creativity and personalization.

You dont just design engines, liscenses, games, offices etc. but you get to personalize them too (food, comfort etc.). Its an addictive mix between construction, planning and executing a idea within the framework of the game.

Having multiple big offices with teams spanning over 100 employees (late game) allows for projects far beyond what ive seen in Tycoon.

Now ofcourse it aint perfect but as of writing this review ive seen nothing but immediate caring attention from the dev for the game and its community, pumping out updates even for minor UI issues.

The 20 bucks pricetag (20€ for me) sometimes feels like a steal.

One of the rare and refreshing examples why Early Access can do pretty well, dedicated devs pumping out consistend updates, staying with the original theme of their title and not craving to fanboys 24/7. It doesnt surprise me that these are the Natural Selection 2 devs when it comes to attention to detail.

In its current state you get about 30-40 hrs of enjoyable (mostly stable) content if this title looks even remotely appealing to you.

Transfering the charming "Soldier" pixel art and wreckinball mechanics this flawlessly, made it very easy for me to enjoy about 200+ of this title. If you ask yourself if its worth the money, i tell you its a steal if youre even a little bit intrested in it.

Also the community was 90% amazing, even with a dedicated roleplay server wich i enjoyed tremendously.
