Congrats, you've even managed to turn me, a die hard fan with loads of good faith towards the devs and game into a hater. Take your shady, money grabbing practices and shove them where the light doesn't shine. ♥♥♥♥ you Bandai :)

- Free to play MTX model in a full price game.
- Denuvo DRM that causes fps drops even on some strong hardware in a game genre where the fps is closely tied to the gameplay.
- No crossplay.
- No ranked connection/fps filter.
- Netcode is underwhelming.
- PC port lacks performance optimization and some ppl crash a lot.
- Cutscenes are not 60 fps.
- Ranked changed from FT3 to FT2 when the overwhelming majority didn't want this.
- Ranked is not tournament rules.
- Customization is obviously lacking considerably when compared to MK11 since they want to sell to us bits and pieces of it for real money.
- Story mode was the worst I could remember.
- NRS/WB complete lack of transparency with the community. Their podcast "Kombat Kast" is always live but all they do is market the game and not interact with the community during it.

+ Gameplay in a vacuum is fun and best since Mk 9 imo but outside of the lucky very few ppl playing offline we are all stuck playing the game in terrible online conditions so it's indirectly turnt to krap.

In ending I would like to point out that I'm a pretty big fan of MK and have spent 1.4k hours in MK11 and I'm closing in on 200 hours in MK1 but I also play other fighting game such as Tekken 7 for 3.4k hours which can be verified on my steam profile.

So yea outside of all of that it's a great game.

I consider this game as the very slow pace skill gain cs game ever. It has a good feel to it.
The weapon skins, case drops and pretty straight forward classic competitive mode are very addictive in my oppinion.
So if u're tired of the cod, bf format and feel a little bit nostalgic of what could be called as the "Father of competitive fps games" investing time in it should be a rewarding experience.
