It's it good?

Yes.

Is it as good or better than Civ V?

Can it be?

Yes, after a expansion or two.

My first play through: I started as the ARC, worker, extra science, and alien hive locations. I was planning to do a purity play through with a contact victory, but when I landed I was surrounded by every single alien hive on the planet, so guess who went harmony. Until I got the sonic fence aliens' where using my territory as a playground. I turned into a superpower with little problem, was able to get a hand full of strategic resources, health became an issue due to me not getting a tech or two, and in the end I made a giant flower... and won the game... with twelve alien hives in my territory, enemies trying to attack me but getting swarmed by said aliens, and my entire territory covered in miasma.

My thoughts: It's good, but needs more, a lot more. With no 'health' resources, health is the new happiness, I was a bit worried and wishing I would improve a tile but the system they have in place works. You build a new building it will start a quest and will let you get a little something extra from the building. The trade is a little basic, with no happiness resources, and so is the conversations with other leaders, I miss Civ IV's system. I miss city states, just not a fan of the stations.
Verdict: Wait until the first expansion comes out then look at everything added and decide then, but for now, I'm going back to Civ V... or maybe IV.

It's awesome, buy it, and buy the next two.

Epic game, short, but great.

I just finished thid game and... just buy it and play it. It's worth it, really comes into it's own in the end.

I have been playing this for a while, both the stories and the survival mode, available at the time of this writing and I have to say one thing... meh. Don't get me wrong, it's a great zombie survival game and it is more than worth the price, but even with the sandbox mode I don't really feel like I want to stay and survive.
Don't get me wrong, as far as a survival game goes, with zombies, this is one of the better ones. Build a base, get supplies, find people, play nice with others, it has everything I want in a realistic survival game, even a good story, but it just loses me after a while. Maybe I'll go back someday, but for now, I've seen all I wanted to see.
Oh, graphics and sound are awesome, few frame rate issues from time to time and far more pop up than I think there should be, but it doesn't take enough away from me not to recommend.

Ok, so I finally played The Witcher to completion after buying it a while ago… in a steam sale. When I started I wasn’t a fan of the combat system or the level of complexity of getting quests done, I felt lost, confused, and didn’t play for about a year. But seeing as I had both The Witcher and The Witcher 2, plus The Witcher 3 is one the way and I was interested (thanks trailers), I decided to go back recently to play and beat it, because you know, reasons.

When I started, I was not a fan, all the issues where still here, but this time I powered through them, working through the first act, learning as I went and I grew to like the flaws and difficulty, the complexity.
Graphics don’t make a game for me, so the somewhat dated look didn’t really bother me, I can remember when LOZ: Ocarina of Time looked cutting edge. That being said, I have always preferred gameplay and story.
The conversations seemed a bit off from time to time, translation errors or just not lining up in the right way, conversations felt a bit off from time to time. However, as I have stated, I grew to like the game and it went from powering my way through to actually wanting to see what happened… I blame the story, the choices (real choices), and the interesting characters.
The gameplay, while it never felt like a 100% solid for me, it added a bit of charm and, once I understood everything, showed that they really did think through the system. I liked the combat and inventory system was meh. All in all, it felt like it had a lopsides fair balance, think something through and prepare and you would be ok... in theory.

This game is a standard shooter, completely bland combat cover based combat, and is one of the best games I have ever played. The game's story, how it looks at the shooter game, and PTSD makes it great. Ignor the multipayer, was forced into the game by the producers, play the campain, that is where the heart and soul of the game is.

As a side note, you won't like the game. It's twisted, unsettling, and worth every penny. The people who made it knew what they wanted to make and succeded.

I'm a big fan of the Splinter Cell series and I have to admit, I was not a fan of this title when I heard about it because of the voice actor change. Eventually I got the game on sale and I regreted not getting it sooner. While the change in voice bugs me, I have to admit, it's one of the best splinter cell games out there.

This is one of the best games I have ever played. I look at modern RPG games and then back at this one and can only smile, it was in many ways ahead of it's time and uses one of the more interesting lore's as it's base, a game everyone should own.

This is a nice bit of Interactive Entertainment, not really a game, but a story. I loved it, but it is not for everyone.
