I played this game when it first came out but stopped because of the shark attacks and I never seemed to make any progress. I prefer a sandbox game so when I tried it again in October I was really happy to see there is now a version where I won't die and the animals leave me alone. I like to build. My other favourite is Anno 1800. Yes, the game has issues. I have flying pigs and a floating stick structure I cannot remove. There should be a way to interact with the very limited furniture. Like sitting in a chair. I wish I could craft more stuff. The graphics for some stuff is very clunky. However the graphic artists did a great job on the sky, and waves. The underwater scenery is beautiful. I swim for ages just looking and gathering clay or fishing. The storm is too long and the thunder on a repeating loop so not natural. There needs to be a much better selection of island types, and sizes. Overall I recommend the game however hard you like it to be.

You could create hundreds of zoos, all different and learn tips from hundreds of YouTube videos. Every zoo I make is an improvement on the last. You can play in several modes and difficulty levels and download thousands of things from the workshop here in Steam, made by other keen zoo creators. Well worth the money.

I have been playing this for a couple of months. I play solo and enjoy it.

Positives- breathtaking scenery, seeminly unlimited quests and side quests, amazing places to visit, great graphics, lots of choices and if a quest is too hard at a lower level wait until you are more powerful and go back to complete.
Sometimes you can follow another player and let them beat up the bad guys for you if you are having trouble.

Negatives- starting again with a new character would be too slow to level up to a level that makes it playable, takes way to long to collect a significant amount of coin. I doubt I will ever buy a horse or house. Or I am missing something?
Some skills don't seem to make any progress and I am at level 30.
Down time for maintanance...often early morning when I want to play
slow to load to a new place

Although it has a few minor annoyances it is still a great game and I expect you could play for many, many months and still find something new.
