The dev continues to update the game. It's gone from a fun proof of concept that I was happy to support, to easily one of the most enjoyable soft combat flight simulator experiences I've had to date.

The damage models are fantastic, the weapon systems are complex enough to be engaging but simple enough to jump in and learn pretty fast, and the new addition (at time of editing) of the notch angle indicator is incredibly well implemented.

At it's core, Nuclear Option feels like an uniquely well designed, somewhat arcadey, comprehensive modern battlefield simulator with a flight sim attached, all with the fun hook of tactical nukes. If you want to experience small scale convoy assaults in a Bronco lookalike, its here. A-10 gun runs (not the plane, but the experience at least)? That's in here. Dogfighting between supermaneuverable 4.5-5th gen aircraft? That too. Genuinely engaging electronic warfare gameplay, SEAD and DEAD missions, and yes, tactical nuke runs...and for 17 dollars (again, at time of editing).

Special shoutout to the experience of watching Dynamo destroyers launch hundreds of supersonic cruise missiles at one another's carrier groups for the first time -- this in itself was worth the 17 dollars.

I cannot recommend this game enough for anyone who enjoys games like WarThunder, Ace Combat, or even DCS. It's a no-brainer.
