Bug Fables is quite legitimately one of my all time favorite games now. The combat is spectacular. Drawing from the Paper Mario franchise in all the right ways. Each character has more than just one role to the party, and you can swap turns to do extra turns with one character if you so please. There is a ton of challenge as well, offered immediately at the start of the game with the addition of the hard mode badge, which you can equip for free. Not only that, but you get the bug off medal early too, which makes traveling from area to area much easier and less tedious. Of course, the game wouldn't really be as great as it is without the aesthetics to match. The visuals are beautiful. Simplistic, but detailed all the same. The dialogue between characters and in new areas are charming, witty, funny, and just feel real. Big shout out to the soundtrack as well. Tons of great tunes that help the battles and areas feel more energetic or calming. Lastly, the characters and story are a great tale. It feels like Kabbu, Leif, and Vi all grow and bond throughout the story, and the characters you meet throughout the tale are also fleshed out with their own ideals and goals too. This game was a treat from start to finish, and I cannot recommend it enough.

High skill ceiling but easy to enter. Tons of fun with friends, seriously or for fun. Still not good though after all this time.

Can be rough, but super enjoyable. Isaac provides constant replay value with tons to unlock. Great game to play in small bursts too.
