This is an incredible labor of love already. Having been a fan of Frostpunk, I was immediately excited when I first heard of this game months ago. Eagerly, I watched the minutes tick by, waiting for the price drop on the store, praying it wouldn't be outrageously expensive.

Not only was it reasonable, given the early access, but when I started up the game, I was impressed to see it run on an admittedly aged Thinkpad almost as well as my main tower. Settings all on low, of course, but the gameplay was still there. That's not something you see everyday, having that option to play on some older machines is a huge boon in a world of poor optimizations (looking at you, Starfield.)

The gameplay loop is fantastic, I find myself equally challenged and intrigued on Hard, and cannot wait to jump into Expert after completing the game. The sheer amount of information just given to the player is also incredible, with enough stats to make an EVE player salivate. Best part? There's MULTIPLE ways to view data BUILT IN, no mods or external tools required? Graphs to tables, daily income-output to storage levels, and even the yearly summaries, it's ALL just so glorious.

The models are very well done as well, still that early access feel, but there's a charm to watching the people go about their day. I feel immersed as they walk from location to location, but was pleased to find their travel time did not impact resource input/output. Maybe that changes later, but for now, it makes calculations easier!

Don't get me started on the weather, I've never been so terrified and so entranced by moving sand, but I found myself doing both just a few hours ago! The weather events really add to that "Earth, but not the same Earth" feel. Some weather is familiar, while others are almost completely alien. I'll spend time building a structure, just for a random bolt of lightning from Steampunk Zeus to just incinerate it upon completion. Twice.

IF that's not a bad omen, I don't know what is.

Overall, this game is fantastic, I'd spend hours going over everything. Just buy it, it's well worth it. The longer you play, it only gets better and better.

IF you play FACTORIO, there are BELTS, and MORE BELTS.

Belts on belts and TRAINS.

THE CITY MUST GROW!

It's very easy for new players to pick up and start playing with no experience, but still holds a lot of room to grow and learn with the game. Very replayable, loved the variety of cars that I saw. 10/10, would quadruple flip to the finish line with 2 popped tires again.

Squad is, in essence, an exercise on cooperating with other people.
If you're a team player, you will never get tired of playing Squad.
If you're a solo player, you'll likely still enjoy the game, but it won't feel nearly as rewarding as working with a team.

I highly recommend the game if you enjoy coordinating, tactics, teamplay, communication, and a good time winning or losing.

From the short time i have spent playing it, I must say i was greatly surprised by this game.

It was suggested to me by a friend, and for the price, i figured it was worth a shot, and maybe i'd play it for an hour or two before i lost interest.

Now i can't stop. Even when i'm playing other games, i keep wondering how i can further improve productions lines, create more efficient automated loops, synthesize greater amounts of science, etc.

This game really is all about doing it your way. Make a bigger and bigger factory for as long as you like, and if you feel like it, you can try for the end-game (Building a spaceship to explore space.) You can take as long as you like, and try new things every time you play. I've constantly restarted on new maps without finishing yet as i learn new ways to improve my overall factory setup, and eagerly start from scratch again in delight of a newly innovated dream.

Overall, this game is a must have for anyone wanting a thinking game. You can do basic automation no sweat, but the REAL fun is using all the tools you have to make the most effiicent living factory you can dream of, using the number one tool that will drive you further and further in this game.

Your
Brain

For the sake of exercising your brain more than most other games, pick this up. You won't regret it.

This game has a lot of improvements made from the previous COH in the series, especially the vehicle combat system. The strategy in the game has made it harder to use a single unit-class, forcing players to diversify more and expand their own playstyles. Some don't like it, but I actually welcome the change!

I played through the Campaign, and while it was good for a stand-alone story, I can understand how Russians may take offense at it. I read some reviews saying it was a pro-Nazi perspective, making the Russians seem like the bad guys, but when I played it, I didn't get that feeling. The story seemed to have elements of truth in it, but pieces were exaggerated for the sake of cinematography in the game.

The best part, however, is the multiplayer. The automatch system was an unusual change from vanilla COH's server-list selection, but after you get familiar with it, it's extremely helpful for getting the game you want to play online. Interestingly, when you start your auotmatch, it shows the percentage of German commanders and Soviet commanders also looking for games. I love this, because if I choose Soviets, but there's already a lot, I'll switch to German in a heartbeat to get into a game faster.

I feel the balancing in the game is really good! I don't feel like one side is over-powered in any way, but they do have different playstyles that I love to utilize.

Overall, I would certainly recommend this game to a friend. It's fun to play, it's beautiful to watch, and the combat is exhilirating. Worth every penny I spent!

This is a really good game, in my opinion! It really brings across that need for a team to work together, the reality of combat in how quickly one can be killed. Also, for being free, it's an extremely gorgeous game! It may be an Army ad, but it's a damn fun one! Worth the time, and it gives me info on the army!

Crazy game, forget the base building, jump right into that action! I love how the armored tanks aren't all powerful, and yet are extremely useful. The mix of helicopters and support units the tanks simply cannot be without. The best part? Logistics comes into play! You have to supply your army, and worry about the lines to send the resources to your troops, including the fuel and ammunition necessary to a large force! Definitely a challenging experience for Strategists of all trades!

Definitely worth it, I can't believe this is noly 20 bucks! One of the best games I have played in a while, I love the realistic quality it presents! Accurate gun modeling and functions simply complete this game, not to mention the great ballistic system I've been admiring through the whole game! Best 20 dollars i've spent!

Like this game, it's got some good gameplay in it. Focuses more on strategy than other real time strategy games I've seen recently, has a nice mix of action with the strategy.
