Probably one of the more underrated games on steam. Shame there won't be more of this series.

Graphics are nothing special, reminds me of games like Kotor and Mass Effect 1. They aren't bad, they're actually pretty pleasing to the eyes, but they wouldn't blow anyone away on release and certainly wouldn't nowadays.

Combat is probably one of the most fun experiences I've had in any rpg. It's generally pretty varied, tons of enemy variety, tons of weapons etc. When you unlock some of the better abilities (like the aoe fire spell as a mage) you actually feel like a badass killing machine. Very rewarding experience.

Haven't completely finished the game yet but main story and faction quests are all pretty entertaining. Not as good as some of the other rpgs I've played (like Kotor) but probably on a similar level to a Fallout or Elder Scrolls story. Not amazing but sufficient. Only complaint is that most of the side quests are very menial, some are decent but for the most part they all just send you in to some dungeon that is slightly different than the last one you went to. Still worth doing as they expand on the story if you're in to that kind of thing.

This is also a lot of content for the money. There's probably at least 60 hours worth of it if you do sidequests and DLC. It really is a shame this series is probably dead, if there was a sequel with a slightly better main story with more engaging main characters and improved sidequests/less repetitive dungeons it would probably be one of the best rpgs out there.

As it stands I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that enjoyed Bioware rpgs and similar games.
