Playing this with friends is one of the best ways to feel like you're back gaming with friends after school over Xbox Live. It's great casual fun with tons of depth if you want to explore it. Just be warned that if you do want to go down the rabbit hole of optimization, then it gets pretty difficult to avoid microtransactions. Even still though, this game respects your money and actually gives you some pretty decent value if/when you do decide to spend on it.

The game itself is fantastic. As long as Sony keeps their grubby little fingers out of the management of it, it'll stay that way. Leave PC players alone

For an early access release that is trying to handle an unexpected two million concurrent players, this is a fantastic early pick-up. While a lot of the world feels a bit empty right now, the decision to focus on ensuring stability and good performance over adding in even more content is an appreciated one. The current gameplay loop is already addicting and easy to sink hours upon hours into without even realizing. It's clear that this game was made with more than just a meme in mind. While the whole "Pokemon with guns" joke gained it a massive amount of traction online, there's enough substance here to keep people coming back for more. I'll be looking forward to every update that's to come!

Easily one of the greatest fantasy RPGs ever made, and definitely should set the standard for AAA titles moving forward. A complete game on launch with no microtransactions, no mandatory internet connection, and a development team that took the proper time to make the game exactly how they wanted while listening to community feedback.
