It's a great game - it pretty much improved the formula in every way over HD1. An extremely impressive level of detail(tracking bullet in chamber, different reload animations for different positions, terrain deformation, battle wear of armour and capes, seeing real time stratagems being used by other helldivers from the bridge of your destroyer, back blast from rockets, bullet deflection - the list goes on extremely long past this) and general level of polish. Great variety in missions, visuals, weapons and enemies. And way much more than can be reasonably written down.

Off to a wobbly start with plenty of stability issues, but that's to be expected - devs should still be proud.

I got this for half off and I still wouldn't say it's worth getting in its current state. The voice work is awful, the animations and models look very jank, sound quality is somehow worse than the previous titles - first impressions are just terrible. It feels like what you'd expect CoH1 from 2006 to be like.

This remake feels like an improvement on every single niggling complaint I ever could have had for the original.

- Dynamic necromorph attacks, nowhere is safe, no room is cleared.
- The unending sense of dread, tensions, buildup and unpleasantness, meant to remind you of your childhood.
- Fantastic sounds and visuals, absolutely delicious.
- So many new scenes and sidequests and little interactions.
- Gun play has been perfected.
- Every single piece of dialogue and change to character scenes and speeches just feels so much better. Great performances, and a lot of changes to the story so that things make more sense. Isaac DOES remark on that one blood pool in the beginning when obviously he should. The justification to leave crazed miners and engineers in legacy sensory deprivation technology is justifiable compared to leaving them around heavy mining equipment when they are losing their minds. Characters actually reacting to the horrible ♥♥♥♥ they see. Stuff like that.

I rate this game a Dead out of Space. It's pretty good

This game is disgustingly difficult in the rawest and fairest of ways. It's super pretty, tons of fun to play, great voice work, great art, wonderfully crushing gameplay - all the bells and whistles.

Wholeheartedly recommended.

This reminds me of my childhood

Most fun I had in a Serious Sam game since 2 - top stuff.

It's pretty good.

Great solid co-op shooting and mining game - runs good, looks good, plays fun. Just an all around fun game to play alone or with mates.

Haven't had too much time to get into it - but so far, this game is good. Honestly good. Better than I anticipated it to be. It had me doubt my choice from choice number 1, which I did not expect at all until maybe choice 10.

Art style is pretty funky and the music and overall tone are quite a gem. I don't play these kinds of games often, but I like it. It's a bit rough here and there in terms of polish, but still pretty good. Anyone that's interested in this genre of games or just wants to go through a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥' story, give it a go.
