Not enough content, tech tree doesn't go far enough to be worth the price worth now. You can get through all of the games content in like 5 hours maximum or 3 hours minimum.

Lots of downvotes and negative reviews that I think are undeserved. Usually I agree with the recent game releases and their mixed reviews but for MH:Worlds I just can't. I think the game itself is fantastic.

I played the crap out of MH4U and Generations on the 3DS so I am biased towards this game but I think the reviews and the face of this page is being held in a negative light for the wrong reason.

Pros:
- The combat is fantastic.

- The graphics are amazing and I haven't had framerate issues (50-60 solid) with a fairly mediocre computer build with the exception of the end game elder bosses.

- The music and atmosphere of the game is awesome.
And perhaps the biggest pro of all after coming from 3DS, the loading screens are like 5 seconds or less and i'm using an HDD. (I also have an SSD but I decided to save space)

- Weapons are very balanced whether it be for just playing the game regularly or even speedrunning.

Cons:
- Mouse acceleration is SUPER annoying and I have been playing strictly with KB and mouse. My mouse sensativity is turned up super high to combat this but it still doesn't feel the best. (For those who don't know, mouse acceleration speeds up your mouse movements when moving your mouse slightly, and slows it down when moving quickly, therefore removing any sort of reliable estimation of where you mouse will end up with a single flick.)

- Forced motion blur (Blurs your screen when turning your camera. It mimics real life because your vision is blurred surrounding your focal point whenever looking around but in video games it makes no sense and i'm not even sure why this is a thing because HOW DO THEY KNOW WHERE MY FOCAL POINT IS? It's definitely not always at the center of the screen!)

- Disconnects and server lag (While it's difficult to play with friends due to disconnects, I am confident they will fix this issue, but who knows! If you're looking for a game to strictly play with friends, then I would skip out on this one until they make some changes and fix the server issues, if you're okay with playing alone even sometimes, then I would still recommend MHW.)

- Cutscenes before playing with friends. You are FORCED to watch the cutscene before you can fight a boss with your friends. Why? WHO KNOWS! This is just a stupid feature.

- Certain bosses are a little annoying to fight by design. It's hard to explain this one until you actually fight the bosses and without spoiling too much, but some of the bosses are much easier once you beat them and then equipping certain items you unlocked from beating them and then fighting them again. It's to the point where you feel like the devs intended for you to fight the boss with these items unlocked and balanced the entire fight around you having these item and made the first time you fight them the hardest. But not in a fun difficult way, but like a "play very slow and safe until you finally defeat them". I don't remember this ever being done in the previous games and I didn't really enjoy the restricting feeling fighting these bosses gave me without these specific counter items.

Conclusion:
Steam reviews are suppose to be about whether you would recommend the game or not, and you're going to notice a lot of the negative reviews from people are going to have people with like 80+ hours etc. The game is a good game and I definitely recommend it. I think a lot of the negative reviews are unjust and I think none of the core mechanics/gameplay of the actual game are bad enough that people wouldn't recommend the game.
