Amazing game and one of my favorites.
However, my biggest complaint about the game is the gatcha system that they have in place and how horrendously over priced things are. You need the premium currency to buy other forms of the stuff in game. So, $50.00 USD gives you 3880 of the premium currency then you need to buy the gatcha currency with is 160 per point of the gatcha currency and then it's random chance if you get what you're after. Their "pity" system for it is if you open 30 crates then you get something you didn't have out of it.

EDIT: Thank you to the community for coming together and making the change happen so that everyone can continue to play this amazing game without the filth that is SONY ruining it. Great work everyone at Arrowhead on working with the community to help correct this garbage the SONY tried to pull. Changing my review to positive now.

I love the game, it's amazing and a lot of fun to play. However, I refuse to help SONY pad their numbers for their share holders. I think them selling this game all over the world since launch and then deciding that they want to force players to use a PSN account to keep playing is a crap move. Especially since that will lock over 100+ countries out of the game that has been here playing since launch. They tried using the excuse that having a PSN account would help them deal with cheaters, I find that hard to believe considering what they already use and how they have been banning cheaters so far with no need for a PSN. So, I'll have to boycott the game for now. This review will change if SONY and their PSN garbage isn't forced on us. If not, then this review will stay as is and as a negative review.

Take out the convenience store that is the current DLC and a lot of the complaints go away. I'm pretty sure everything in the DLC shop currently is able to be obtained in the game its self. There are also a lot of other games out there that does this exact same thing (League anyone?) so idk why people are hating on this one so much about it.

The game its self is fun, the combat feels good and there is a really big world to explore which is great! Having come from Dragons Dogma 1 it's a big improvement over all. I think with some patches to smooth over some of the frame drop issues the game will improve even more.

I'm really curious about any additional content they may have planned for the game though. I intend to buy the content based DLC should they release any.

Overall there is room to improve the game but it's still fun and worth the money in my opinion.

It was fun but then they abandon the game after releasing some paid DLC and then deleted their official discord and announced that they were going to work on another game. I do not recommend this game or their future games with this kind of mindset. I know I will not buy any of their future games.

It's a great game with a lot of quests to do and the story has been pretty good. I'm already planning a second play through. I'd really suggest picking this game up, it's worth it.

Path finding needs work and it was a lot of fun in the game but they like to nerf units to try and make you "diversify" your army. However the units they are nerfing in their latest patch are also the counter to the giants that will wipe your arm out when they get in range.

The Devs are not listening to the community and its concerns or complaints nor do they fix them. The Devs instead are pushing out new content to cover the existing issues. For example the recent nerfs that were done on the Arbs. They just nerfed them and now with the new faction system they are bringing out they are buffing them as long as you are apart of the Rebellion faction.

The Order faction that is coming out in a future update is meant to not need as much expansion to play but because of this they are making the factions units cost a lot more. This in turn is going to force the player to expand even more and hope that RNG is with them to give them a favorable map with the resources to actually be able to afford the increased cost of the units.

They refuse to fix pathing, the insane amount of RNG for resource spawn which can force the player to restart multiple times in the hopes that they will get the resources that they need to survive. Especially in the higher difficulties.

The melee troops at this point are good at getting killed and that's about it. The specials will one shot the basic infantry if you take your eyes off them for even a minute. That's not even taking into account what will happen on horde nights.


It's a hard but fun game but with the nerfs rolling out and some other rather disappointing patches they have done lately, I can honestly say at this point in time that I do NOT recommend the game.

It is a fun and new approach to RTS where you can control everything your self or play with two other people on the same team and each player controlling a commander that specializes in a certain role and contributes to the whole. It was also interesting to see how you had a surface level and an underground level at the same time to keep an eye on and work in. The auto pathing could use some work and sometimes the guys seem to get stuck on a building for a moment but it's really not bad. If you like RTS I'd suggest this game.

The first several days after launch there was a lot of issues with the servers but as of this review it seems that a lot of those issues has been fixed as I have not had anywhere near as many issues. I understand why so many people were angry with how the servers were but it was also the first couple days after launch and there were a lot of server side bugs that needed fixed and the Devs were very open in communicating what they were doing as well as the progress of those fixes that were being worked on.

At this point my only real criticism that really bothers me is the Co-Op, it needs work. The connections can be pretty crappy and lag but I'm hoping that gets improved on as time goes on and more patches are released.

That being said, the game it's self is a lot of fun to play and the combination of guns and ability powers is really well done too. There are some places to improve on but it's still really early in the game's life so I believe as time goes on and the Devs release more patches and and future content it will only improve. I have enjoyed the story so far and the way the difficulty is set up to increase as you gain experience is really nice, its like a gradual raise and it kind of eases you into it in my opinion so I really like that.
I also like the fact that if you are having to much of a hard time with something you can go in and lower the world tier if you need to or if you need to farm more gear before going on to the next tier you can do that so you are better prepared for the fights to come.
The graphics is this game are great, the characters are interesting as well as the interactions they have. I also like the fact that some of what you do in the game you can hear the NPCs talking about it, it was a nice touch on the Devs part.

Overall though with the server issues being worked out I give this game an 8 out of 10

This is a really great game that is a lot of fun to play with friends. Highly recommend the game!
