Rings of Saturn is possibly one of the best games I've enjoyed in the last year. The gameplay loop is simple to get into, though the initial learning curve of the controls can catch some people off guard. If you're not sure, definitely try out the demo or check out some of the review videos on youtube! The dev has worked hard to continually get more and more content out, bugs fixed and this is now a game that stays in my heart.

Once you have established incomes of food, wood, fuel and medicine, Banished is something that feels almost casual to play. Even when a fire or tornado rages out of control and your village begins to burn to the ground, the game doesn't feel stressful. The GUI and soundtrack make this game such a pleasant experience and if you want a tough survival simulator where keeping 30 people alive feels like an accomplishment, Banished will resonate well with you. Seeing achievements like having 300 people in your city definitely feels like an achievement to see. I hope to play more of this and can definitely say that it is quite the enjoyable experience.

So far it's a cute, tough as nails rogue-lite pirate simulator with minecraft-esque ship building. The pirate combat can be a bit clunky for advanced tactices like focusing down targets but encounters are a lot of fun and learning when to back off can be a hillarious lesson in humility. Not everything is well explained in the tutorial, so make sure to experiment, such as sailing further than adjacent blocks. I have had fun with my time playing.
