This right here is my GOTY! I absolutely love that I can disable or adjust game play things that are "annoying" to ME. Don't listen to the haters about the save system, its fine. It quickly earned a spot in my top 5 games of all time.

If the trailer intrigues you at all, STOP READING ABOUT IT, GO IN BLIND AND BUY THIS GAME. I'm not going to say more about it :) If you get stuck, be very careful looking up tips and hints. Don't be tempted to read more than you need to. A YT beginner guide should be all you really need.

Ok, this game is nothing like the versions on other platforms. This is more like The Sims, but with a single cat.

Requires quite a bit of reading to figure out what to do and to know what the tasks are, but you can easily point to what needs to be done if you're getting this for a younger child.

There are some odd trigger and timing behaviors. e.g. THE #$%^ LITTER BOX! you just have to wait in the bathroom when the poo meter is about to go critical. No one seems to know how to trigger the litterbox use on demand.

You can't fill both the food and water quickly, if you do, it'll switch to the last thing you clicked and not finish the first sequence to satisfy the hunger/water meter. It's best to fill only one bowl, food or water, and then wait for the icon to go away before you fill the other.

Learning the tricks is a bit confusing at first, but, once you realize the tricks have a prerequisite starting position, it makes more sense. e.g. to learn "give paw" you have to first learn to sit because it has to be sitting first or else clicking on the paw does nothing.

That's about all we've encountered in an hour of play. my 8yo girl likes it, my 10yo boy video game expert prefers the collecting the achievements and toys over anything else. and prefers the dogz game to the catz.
