Early Access Review
I have to write this, because all the negative reviews i read complain about the saving feature.
It bothers me because it sounds like all the negative reviews come from NOOBS.

The saving feature is my FAVORITE part of the game.

If you read a review "Oh boo hoo I spent 2 hours playing and died and got reset to the inn" THIS PERSON IS A NOOB.

There are many beds scattered around the map you can use, and most of them are very near quest objectives. Before a big encounter, or boss fight, or new crypt or anything dangerous you need to SLEEP in those beds NOT at the inn.

You should ALWAYS look for and clear a campfire in the wilderness BEFORE doing a quest objective, and then if your hp gets low go back to that bed and sleep.

I'll sleep at a wilderness campfire right before I get to a crypt, then right before the boss room I'll leave the crypt and sleep again at the wilderness bed. The crypt will be as you left it and you just have the boss room left on full HP.

Another tip is to not accept any starting contracts until level 2 or 3. Go out and kill some wolves or find some easy bandit camps before getting a quest from the elder. On your way be sure to gather mushrooms, once you get to a campfire you can cook them and it will save a lot of early game food gold.

I really like this game, and with each update it gets better and better. Don't let the negative reviews fool you saying the game is too hard. I personally wouldn't mind if the game was harder.

Thanks for reading my review.

Ok ~ So I Looooved this game.

Keep in mind however, I spent most of my time PvEing

All these people saying "You need to subscribe" are all shenanigoons.
I have Hundreds of hours and I've never subscribed.

----------------------------------------Things you need to pay for -------------------------------------------

-Creating a guild

-Building houses/keeps

-Pickpocket other players

-Top Tier Armor/weapon crafting

-You can only level skills to 60, but I see this as almost a blessing It only really affects mount speed/stam
(I'll get more into this later)

-Being a super late game mage that knows every necromancy spell and can change the weather

-------------------------------------------Things you can still do as FTP-----------------------------------

-Join a guild (YES even if you're free to play you can still farm hunt and tame animals, they would LOVE to have you)

-Explore the game and fight the majority of enemies, I've been in many guilds and have seen a LOT of the end game content.

-Kill other players, even if they pay to play. (This takes a bit of skill and knowledge however, I will explain later)

-Become rich----You might not make as much gold as some of these top tier craftsmen, but taming animals and adventuring for materials (Animal hides, plants, drops ect.) can make you a fortune.

-Having a house---You might not be able to build a house, but I've been in guilds where they've made a guild shack where I wanted that I could use pretty much the same way as a house.

-Have sweet pets--- As a FTP tamer I've tamed/dominated bears, demon dogs, wolves, crazy ride-able lizards, mammoth rhinos, yaks and a bunch of others.

FREE TO PLAY TIPS

So, first off your skills... as a Free to play your skills cap at 60, which definitely limits you but at the same time opens a whooole world of crazy possibility.

For example every player F2P or P2P has the same amount of points available to spend. So while a P2P might have 100 in maces and 100 in riding and 100 in armor you know what they don't have ?

60 in taming
60 in swimming
60 in magic
60 in archery

But you don't have 100 riding or riding stam control which really sucks, I say put points into swimming(No one has swimming) and fight near water

ect ect...

So you just need to be sure to lock your skills at 60 !!!!!
With all those extra points you can spec into many different things. Pick whichever you like :)

--But in all honesty if you want to join the big PVP guilds and just do team deathmatch all day you will probably want to pay.
--They do wars, and as a F2P most of your PVP will be 1v1 - 3v3 in the wilderness type stuff

Now To make money as a FTP early game can be tricky. Taming animals is definitely viable, there are donkeys which can get you started but if you don't want to tame you can:

---Farm heads like a pleb to get your skills up
---Get to meduli and pick up Bor, seadew and Cactus and whatever else you can find in the area just south by the water

---Once you get enough gold buy some armor and a mount, maybe read a skill book or two then go adventure and explore!!!

-----If you are afraid of getting ganked head into the desert------

--Go south of Tind and Meduli near the coast and go across the bridge to the Desert. Head to the Big ass tree in the distance and then go north west.
-You will see a huge desert town, outside of the town and all around the desert there are Toghair plants, they are stalky and full of pink orbs you cant miss em
-Gather and sell those. Once you get enough gold for armor and a mount start practicing mounted archery on deer(springbok) until you can hunt the Ratzar workers
And just go from there killing different mobs. (Ratzar hunters will wreck you until your skills are maxed, they have nasty range)

If you die in the desert it's okay ! just ghost to the desert town and respawn there. I've almost NEVER been killed by another player in the desert you will be safer.

Except you may be eaten by Ratzar... or Die to heat exhaustion... I personally like it more than the mainland.

-------But there is SERIOUSLY so much to do even as a free to play---------

I'd say at least try it, It feels to me like a multiplayer Oblivion without Quests
