the game's very fun, but got kinda stale far into my playthrough considering i went for 100% of the achievements. it's waaaaay better with friends and well worth it whenever it's on sale. i'd say it feels like factory-building games like factorio and satisfactory, but doesn't entirely revolve around automation and making giant resource systems, as well as having a nice exploration aspect and some fun mysteries to explore.
as for the people complaining about the game's microtransactions, i literally didn't notice the in-game shop until i saw these reviews after playing the entire game. the microtransactions, sure, aren't needed, but don't make the game worse considering what you can buy is all cosmetic.
