Different character options + a good number of different mission types + multiple biomes + procedurally generated maps = high replayability.
On top of that the gameplay itself is fun and engaging, but also challenging with limited ammo and reliance on other players/characters to complete missions in an efficient and timely manner.
The atmosphere/setting of the game is great too!

An excellent mix of relaxing and exciting gameplay.
Only downside is a couple of bugs in the multiplayer experience.

PROS:
- Fast paced, run 'n gun gameplay
- Diverse characters
- Promotes teamplay (not everyone gets this though)

CONS:
- Half the maps are unbalanced.
- Terrible balance between characters.
- I've encountered two or three 100% sure cheaters

Verdun is an awesome first world war game focussing on trench warfare. The limited amount of automatic and semi-automatic weapons make for a game that requires skill more than most other shooters. That being said, you still have to watch out for grenades and artillery, so don't think your bolt action rifle is an excuse for camping. Attacking and defending trenches is alternated for both teams, so that each has to put in the same effort if they want to win.
So if you enjoy shooters, but are looking for something different from most shooters this game is a lot of fun!
