While not a bad game, its not great. Found all of the quests rather cliche and clean cut. Outcomes of quests could be guessed if you have played for few other RPGs.
Exploring is rather dull sadly. There are a few showcase locations (e.g. First time on Groundbreaker) but everything else is shallow. There are no truly hidden locations which have a lot of content to them. You will be sent to every location via quests.

If you haven't played many RPGs you will enjoy this game but otherwise its very underwhelming.

The design of this game is fantastic but the game play is sorely lacking. The snowballing nature of capturing resource nodes early rather than later is huge. Coming back is extremely difficult. Promoted units have too much value in terms of just health increases and gaining their abilities, making the snowballing worse.
The slow meat grinder of sending in troops to take something over is tiresome.

Has a lot of similarities to commandos and it should cover that itch.
However it does have problems compared to those games.

1. Behaviour of ranked enemies being different. It makes certain partisan skills and items (rocks, wine) unusable which is annoying. This makes some partisans which would be cool to use not that useful.

2. Randomisation of loot from enemies. Due to carry over of resources from mission to mission, they had to limit the amount of gubbins you get from dead enemies. It does however, cause rather inconsistent experiences and is rather jarring (Get uses rifle but doesn't have ammo or the rifle when he dies). Plus early in the game, its useful to get knifes for your partisans for stealth but you can get unlucky and get no extras.

3. Tools for dealing with dogs. Either its a mistake on my part but tobacco was not usable. This meant that there was extremely limited options for dealing with dogs in stealth.

4. Other partisans being revealed when failing stealth. Its hard to recover from failure once your partisans have been labelled as "revealed". There is no running and hiding or cutting sight. Once you have gone loud, you will have to kill all the nearby enemies.

Fun to think in 4D.
The logic for cubes in motion not effecting their future forms for 2 of the chambers felt like it was against the new game design [/spolier]
